I have stayed in this hotel several times. It is well situated in the center of Florence. The staff is friendly and serviceminded and the rooms are cleen and nice. Only one thing is a problem at this hotel and that is the noise from the neighbour rooms. The walls are very thin. But of course if the neighbours act normally it is no problem.
The restaurant on the top floor is good and you have a full view over the city.
The top terrace is a must in the evening where you have the most fantastic view over the city with all is beautiful buildings with evening lights on.
I will definately visit this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for a quite room with quite neighbours.

I have stayed at Grand Hotel Baglioni Firenze on two occasions and will be returning in the future. It is a wonderful base for accessing all areas of Florence and, although close to the Santa Maria Novella train station, is quiet and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and the reception staff speak English well. The cleaners are very efficient and truly caring and friendly. Breakfast is included and good quality and quantity, and the view from the restaurant is amazing. Altogether, I can't fault this truly lovely hotel.

Very nice hotel perfectly situated, very close to the Duomo; restaurant with amazing terrace and wonderful live music; breakfast is a little disappointing - all in all, however, a very good hotel for a stay in Firenze!

My husband stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks & I joined him his last week of work & stayed with him at this hotel. The hotel itself is a beautiful old hotel with each room seemily unique in size & shape. The internet was slow but typically pretty reliable. The complementary breakfast was among the best we had at any Italian hotel. The staff was typically helpful if not overly friendly. Another couple was upgraded to a suite and enjoyed their room very much. Our room was very small with very old & very dry wood floors which squeaked & were quite slippery if you wore socks. That & no shower curtain which left the floors in the bathroom wet (which is also typical of Europe) were really my only complains about the hotel. Everything else was very nice & the location is great if traveling to Florence by train if you go the right way you will practically walk up a ramp right into the hotel lobby! It's also easily walkable to everything you'll want to see in Florence including the Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, etc. as Florence is a pretty compact city.

Room Tip: If you're American or just like a large coffee I suggest packing your own travel coffee mug & filling it each morning at breakfast as coffee can be quite expensive at the restaurants since you may be charged an additional charge unless you are ordering food also.

On our recent trip to Firenze we had the pleasure of staying at this gracious hotel for 5 wonderful nights. Conveniently located near the termini and a few blocks from the Duomo and the center of all the attractions, this hotel had all that amenities of a super deluxe hotel: huge beautifully appointed rooms, several comfortable public spaces, an attentive, friendly staff, and a marvelous breakfast in the roof-top restaurant the overlooks all of Florence.

If we ever return to Florence it would be the only place to stay.
