The Hotel is perfect for a weekend away or a business trip to Florence. The decor is a little dated, but in my opinion it adds to it's beauty. The service in the restaurant is very attentive and the quality if the food is excellent. One vey big plus point in choosing this Hotel is that you can walk to the centre of Florence, Piazza Signoria, in 15 minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the fourth floor facing the Arno river.

This was the nicest hotel I stayed in while visiting Italy. The hotel is centrally located, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nicely kept. We did not have a view of the river, although this would have been nice. Also, we had lunch in the restaurant, as well as breakfast, and everything was terrific. It was nice to stay in a great neighborhood and be so close to everything. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Florence.

A traditional hotel offering comfortable accommodation which was spotlessly clean. The self service breakfast had plenty to offer and was very tasty. The only down side to our stay was that we found the staff to be rather unfriendly and not very helpful

Two couples spent four days here at the end of September...never thought to check whether anything was happening in the city...unfortunately it was the world cycle championships, so everything was very busy.

Firstly, the hotel is in a great position - we had two rooms with balconies on the fourth floor, overlooking the Arno, which meant we could go back to base and open a bottle on the balcony before evening meal.
However, this also meant that everything was a good twenty minute walk - ok when it's coolish but not so good when the temperature is in the top 20's.

The hotel is what you would expect from a city hotel, clean, impersonal, well staffed and very formal.

We had our hire car with us; cost us €30 per day to park under the hotel, so beware!

We returned to the hotel after evening meal only once for a drink in the bar...quite a surreal experience! Firstly, although there were four members of staff working in the lounge, we had to ask a number of times for a member of staff to come and take a drinks order. We would have actually had a couple of further drinks, but they never came anywhere near us again! We felt like we were interrupting their social time!

Even stranger was the couple playing the piano and singing..probably the worst hotel lounge music we have ever encountered!

Nothing actually wrong really but not one we would return to.

My first day here. When I walked towards the entrance there was no one there to help with the multiple bags that we had for our 10 day trip. Finally some one came to help. Then a young Philleppen girl showed us our room very nice. however after she left the two separate a/c units did not work. when i called the front desk they said they would call me back in 5 minutes, after 20 minutes we called them back spoke to my wife and said to open the balcony door for air. The main ac units were shut off its sweltering hot and the don't seem to care one bit.

Room Tip: Dont go here. do yourself a favor.

this hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to everything. Such a beautiful view overlooking the Arno river. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. The food was delicious and plentiful. They even had American bacon which is hard to come by in Italy. We enjoyed our time here and recommend it highly.

Room Tip: ask for a high floor and a balcony facing the river

Do not go to this hotel. The only one pleasant member of this hotel team is a young barman 18-20 years old, sorry don' t remember his name. But attitude of the hotel to their guests is awful. We left a car forward of a hotel on the hotel parking zone. And went may be for 30-40 minutes. After our return we didn't find our car, it was picked-up because ladies from reception called police while they knew we were guests. And we had a very long trip to return car and pay penalty. Next day even police didn't understand why the hotel decided to call. From Lucchesi Hotel no words of excuse. So if you want your trip to Florence to be nice in every moment, don't choose this Plaza Lucchesi Hotel.

Dear customer,
Rather than respond to you I prefer to answer to all those users that while reading your review may have wondered what really happened. Maybe it will be healthy to know our version and then judge. The car that you parked in front of the hotel was made to take away from the police because you did not check in right away or warned the concierge. You left the car in front of the hotel and simply walked away without showing up . If you had checked we would have informed that the hotel has a garage and that you can not leave your car in the loading and unloading luggage area in front of the hotel..
also you forgot to tell users of Tripadvisor we were forced to undergo an interrogation by the police because when you went to pick up the car you forced the jaws with which the car had been blocked. An offense.
Before you complain the story should be all tell.
