Very clean, well located and friendly staff. Good beds. Some of the rooms are quite small. Food is good. Would stay again, but in a larger room. No problems with the language at all. Very easy to get a taxi to all parts.More

Thank you for sharing with the readers of Tripadvisor your kind words used to describe the professional appeal of our staff.
We are glad you enjoyed the comfort of our beds (we know how important it is to a good rest when you are away from your own home) and the central position of our hotel close to all major attractions and to the taxi stands.
It is a great satisfaction for us that you have enjoyed the food served in our restaurant La Serra.
The hotel provides different types of rooms, from classic passing of our beautiful and renewed superior and deluxe with river view to suites.
We would be honored to accommodate you back to our Hotel on the occasion of your next trip to Florence to spend your stay in one of our most spacious rooms.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Lucchesi Hotel. The location is excellent; it is close enough to the centre of Florence to effortlessly walk but far enough out of the centre that a good night's sleep is achievable. The staff are extremely friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. The hotel was clean and comfortable and our room was extremely spacious. The free WiFi allowed us to make the most of Florence by researching the attractions and planning our time. We will definitely return to Florence and are likely to return to the Plaza Lucchesi Hotel.
Dear Guest of Tripadvisor,
We really appreciated you devoted your time to write your positive impressions about your stay at Hotel Plaza Lucchesi.
We are happy you liked our Hotel, especially for the right distance from the city center.
As a matter of fact, Hotel Plaza Lucchesi is located few steps from the main attraction, museums and shopping streets, but also by the river so that it is very quiet and peaceful to have a very restful sleep.
Thank you for the kind words in favor of our Reception which was so glad to help you to plan your time here in Florence.
Finally we appreciate you put your attention on our spacious rooms and the cleaning of them.
It will be a pleasure to welcome you back to our Hotel in future.
My brothers, sister and I took our mum to Florence for her birthday, I tried to get an upgrade for the special occasion but could not without paying an extra 100 euros a night which was a bit expensive for a view of the river, especially since our rooms were okay without a view of the river (two triple rooms). However, the hotel more than made up for it on the first night when we came into our room from sightseeing and saw that they had provided us with complimentary sparkling wine and nibbles. It was a lovely surprise and a nice touch for our mum.
The rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The bathroom was clean and spacious with complimentary toiletries. The grand staircase you walk down when going out or to breakfast makes you feel like you are in the Italian equivalent of "Downton Abbey"
The buffet breakfast was lovely, a lot of choice from fresh fruits, croissants, pastries and full English breakfast without baked beans though!
Reception very helpful, helped us plan our sightseeing tour patiently and recommended a very nice restaurant.
Only niggle, is that you have to pay for ironing, as you cannot iron yourself!
The hotel is alongside the River Arno and is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Florence which is nice when you go back to your quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Florence.
Loved Florence and it was a pleasure coming back to the hotel after a long day out, would definitely come back again to Florence and the hotel.
Dear Guest of Tripadvisor ,
Thank you for your kind comments about the stay with your family at our Hotel Plaza Lucchesi .
Upon arrival the hotel had few availability of rooms in particular there were only suite with river view for which there is a difference in price as you mentioned .
As soon as we Knew about your mother's birthday it was a pleasure for us to provide a nice gift.
We are very happy that it was really appreciated.
Our staff is glad to have given all the information you required to well plane your stay in Florence.
We are very proud about the description of the variety and freshness of the products offered at breakfast time.
For what concerns ironing unfortunately it is not allowed for safety reasons the use of iron in the room that is why the hotel offers its guests an external laundry service.
Renewing our thanks ,we hope to welcome you in our hotel for the next occasion.
Although we were only able to spend one night at the Plaza Lucchesi, it was a completely enjoyable experience. The front desk staff were very personable and extremely professional. We had booked online prior to our visit and were surprised by having our accomodations upgraded upon arrival. Our rooms had a spectacular view of the Arno River and Piazza Michelangelo...magical at night! Our breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates Old World charm with all the modern amenities.
we are pleased to know that even if only for one night your stay here with us was so pleasant.
Hoping to give you back our warm welcome at the Plaza Hotel Lucchesi.
I stayed here with my Wife and 8 year old Son for 4 nights this month. The staff was excellent and very helpful. My Son was sick the day we arrived, and they let us check in 4 hours early without extra cost. The breakfast buffet was very good, and had a good selection. The hotel is situated along the Arno River, and has great access to the sights of Florence. The rooms were very nice and clean. The cost was fair, and was worth it. We would stay here again.
The Plaza Lucchesi is right on the front of the Arno - the view is wonderful. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast to die for and the staff very professional. Evening meal there is a little expensive but delicious and the restaurant itself very well run. This is the hotel that I would like to live in, were I rich enough to be a lady of leisure for the rest of my life.
