We needed a room for an overnight stay that would enable us to take a late tour and not have to drive back to Siena at night, yet one that would not set our pocketbook on fire. Lucky us! We found Hotel Rapallo, and it turned out to be perfect.
We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go with no difficulty; the staff was friendly and delightful; the room was clean, modern, well-equipped, quiet, comfortable, and did I mention CLEAN. Though not large, the room had everything we needed -- a comfortable bed, desk, mini fridge, flat-screen TV, nice hot water in the bath, good lighting, space for clothes and suitcases, plenty of electrical outlets for charging our electronic devices, lovely towels and heated towel rack, and an individual climate control that worked great.
Downstairs is a small reception area and lobby, business center, and tastefully decorated breakfast room. Speaking of which, there's a fabulous complimentary breakfast spread offering just about anything you could ask for, including American coffee!
If you're driving, there's a parking garage, but be sure to ask where it is because it's cheaper than the public garage around the corner. I hope you get to meet Lorenzo when you go to Hotel Rapallo, because he'.s charming and knowledgeable -- a tourist's delight.More
