What a treat for our last night in Italy! The hotel is wonderful, clean, very chic, with a great breakfast. Absolutely would stay here again. Our room was a larger corner room with an incredible bathroom and awesome bath products! Really appreciated that. The other couples in our group had smaller rooms, but just as nice. We all agreed this was a good choice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Hope to be back.

Room Tip: Don't really have a tip. We did not have a special request and got a great room anyway. L

This hotel met all of our expectations! The room was amazing with an absolutely stunning view... The room was so clean and the bathroom was gorgeous... It was a perfectly place to come back to after a long day of walking around the charming city of Florence...

The staff was helpful and kind... The breakfast was good, my only complaint would be the nasty cough one of the girly working in the kitchen had... It was either a severe chest cold, or severe smokers cough... But if you are working around food, don't come to work sick... But the hotel was so nice otherwise, that was easy to shrug off.

This hotel would be perfect for both a romantic get away, or a family stay!!!

We asked for and got a "high and quiet room" (507) top floor, corner unit. Extremely comfy bed, big space, room for us both to spread out our stuff, modern decor and finishings, sitting area, desk, great bathroom with rain shower (though no bathtub). We will stay here again.

Location is great as you're not right in the fray but everything is very very close.
If you arrive by car DON'T TRUST YOUR GPS (we drove through the duomo piazza before we realised) - follow the hotel's directions.

Internet data roaming is stupidly expensive for our canadian carrier (Rogers) so we really appreciate decent Internet in the hotel for our iPhones and iPads - this can be an issue as many places ended up charging per device.
The wireless here is no different (9€ per 24h per device)

HERE IS HOW TO GET AROUND THIS

if the hotel has a cable (cat5/Ethernet) option in the room then use an apple airport express (or equivalent travel sized wireless router) setup in router mode (you can set this up at home in advance). Plug it in and connect your first device, use it to purchase your package, then connect the rest of the devices and you're good to go.

Room Tip: Highest floor, ask for quiet room (back side, not on porta rossa side)

My Fiancee and I stayed here when we took a little two-day trip up to Florence from Rome. So beautiful! The decor was amazing, the location was PERFECT and the staff were so accomodating and great :). We walked everywhere and when it rained there were perfect little wine bars and pizzerias/trattorias right next door. The breakfast they served was incredible - brie spreads, breakfast cocktails, every kind of cheese/egg choice anyone could ever ask for. Love love love. If we get the chance to go back to Firenze we will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my family for 2 nights in July. This hotel is really well situated in the city very close to the river and the Porto Vecchio and still walking distance to the Duomo and Bell tower. The whole city is walkable though, but it is still lovely to be able to cross over to the hotel if ever you need to pop in for something. The hotel is also located amongst the high end designer stores such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Pucci, Tiffanys. So just a clue of what to expect of its imminent surrounds.

The hotel was able to accommodate our check in before the usual time of 3pm which is always pleasing. Our twin room was upgraded due to lack of standard twin rooms which I cannot complain about. Be warned though for those of you with limited mobility that not all rooms are reachable by lift. Some rooms still require an extra flight of steps to get to from the lift such as the mezzanine rooms.

Rooms are adequately spacious, the superior rooms obviously being more spacious than the standard. But it's still a good size with modern contemporary decor, equipment and modern shower and bath system. Rooms were clean, and AC had controllable settings. What I loved the most though was the original architecture of vaulted ceilings in the rooms. This is throughout the whole hotel, and it gives it a great historical venetian feel for those who like their architecture.

Breakfast was yummy, but probably excels more in the continental breakfast selection than the cooked breakfast. You Brits can expect pre made scrambled eggs and bacon as your hot selection. The selection of cold cuts, cheeses and patisseries are wonderful and numerous. You can see this in one of the pictures of the website. There are also fresh fruits and healthy selections. Just a side note - the plums, peaches and nectarines in Florence were the best I have ever tasted anywhere.

Free wifi available but requires daily change of username and password. A tad stuttery for facetiming your loved one but audio is fine.

I can't find any fault with this hotel. The staff made our stay easy and were helpful. I slept well (quiet surroundings and hybrid spring/memory foam mattress), and was well fed in the mornings. After that it was a good base to get out into the city. That is all you need really for a city hotel, can't imagine requiring much more.

When I return to Florence, I shall be looking to stay here again if I find a reasonable deal for rooms again.

Room Tip: Standard is basic but clean and peaceful. Superior rooms have more character, a little more spacious...

The hotel is in an excellent location - within walking distance not only of the major sites but also of the train station. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. The only drawback was that the room was very sterile - no character - and our only window looked out over pipes and a wall. Not very pretty.
