“Great mix of old and new”
Reviewed 10 October 2012

The hotel and its rooms have a delightful blend of old-world charm and modern amenities, including great modern art. The hotel's charms were matched by its terrific staff who were both happy and helpful.

A charming little hotel just around the corner from the Galleria. Reception staff excellent throughout our stay.We arrived at 7am and they were happy to take care of our bags which were in our room when we arrived back later. We had an Executive room on the ground floor which was at the back of the hotel and nice and quiet. Good people in the kitchen too. Good breakfast selection. We had lunch in the hotel’s small court yard on one occasion and both the meal and the service were excellent.

The hotel is extremely well located - within walking distance to all the major attactions - Duomo, Gallery Accademai, Pont Vecchio, Santa Maria Novella train station etc.. The rooms were clean and the staff extremely helpful. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

We found this hotel a real delight and hard to fault. Located close to the center of Florence and all the wonderful shops and with the Gallery Accademia just round the corner. The room we had was spacious ,clean and some lovely authentic touches in the way of furniture and art. Staff were helpful and friendly and we particularly enjoyed the attached bistro for lunch or dinner.

We give this hotel top marks for a most enjoyable and trouble free stay in this magnifacent city.

All attractions within walking distance (even Oltrarno and Boboli no more than12/15 minutes away), staff helpful and friendly. They also book for you Uffizi and Accademia in advance so you do not have to queue for hours to get in. Spacious rooms and very nice palace overall.
Not to forget the "bistro" where you can get quick meals but also very good local dishes.
Breakfast is continental but with plenty of very good things to choose from (bruschetta, various salami and cheeses, cakes and croissant, fresh fruit and so on).
If we go back to Florence this is where we will stay again.

This is the cutest little boutique hotel. It's in a great location - just walk down the road and you're at the Duomo! The room was clean and quite large. The breakfast was excellent (loved the bruschetta). However, the bistro, Il Desco, was the highlight of the hotel for me. We came back to the hotel almost every day to have the daily special, which was always delicious. A very arty, friendly hotel. Would definitely return.

The staff was quite helpful, taking care of our reservations for both museums and restaurants (and rescheduling them around the occasional strike). The room was distinctive and comfortable, and it's an excellent location.
