A most excellent stay came to an end on the day of the strike by the National transport services. The hotel rose cooly to the occasion, calming excited patrons and giving valuable advice in addition to maintaining links with London.

Verygood food and a first class barman. Our. Own roof level terrace....fascinating.

I'm sure this hotel has better rooms than the one we were given. The toilet in the room smelled horrible. It has a good location but it is not a 4-star hotel. Our room overlooked to other rooms. Breakfast was free and ok but they charge 21 euro per night for parking. It is too much!

Dear Mr. Arzu,
we are pleased to learn that you appreciated our location and services.
Unfortunately in Florence to park the car is very expensive but if you compare the price of our parking to the prices of all the other you will find it more convenient.
Hope to serve you soon again

To be fair, I wasn't supposed to stay in this hotel, but was given this hotel when I found out that EuropeanDestinations.com or the hotel that I selected made a mistake and lost my reservation. The people working the desk were not nice. In fact, the older Indian man at the desk snapped at me and was also screaming at a couple of young guests for no apparent reason late in the night. The woman at the desk didn't want to resolve my issues with the wifi, and instead told me her phone's internet worked so mine should. They put me in a separate, concrete block of a building that smelled, was dirty and looked like a college dormitory. It was terrible. The wifi did not work at all, nor did the ethernet cable. This was not a pleasant experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Stay away!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in September 2013, and found it a very comfortable and quite attractive hotel. Many rooms had views and even balconies facing central Florence. Rooms were very large, almost apartment-like. Breakfast was busy but quite good. Reception was very helpful in a variety of ways. It was a walk of 20-30 minutes to the very heart of old Florence, but the walk is interesting enough in itself. I would happily recommend this hotel to all travellers to Florence.

Room Tip: Stay in the main old hotel, rather than the newer annexe

Our second hotel in Italy.............a very nice surprise. The facility resembles an Italian mansion rather than a hotel. Upon entry, there are sculptures & paintings along the corridor, then leading to a lovely garden.

The rooms were spacious, with separate sitting area from the bedroom. The thick towels were another delight. There is free WIFI in the rooms, but again, no tea/coffee making facilities.

Breakfast fare was standard.

Our stay would have been perfect if we did not have to deal with the 2 grumpy ladies at Recep-tion. It seemed that our arrival bothered them & disrupted them from getting their bums off their seats. As all our 3 rooms were located in different towers, we had difficulty in locating our rooms due to the absence of information provided. After getting in & out of lifts, & then querying the 2 grumps, 1 reluctantly showed us the way in the most unfriendly tones. These 2 grumps should be thankful they still have jobs in the high unemployment climate.

Florence was our 6th of 7 city stops on our first trip to Italy. We were getting a little exhausted, but this lovely "old" hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Further from the rail station than we had thought, when we eventually found it we were greeted by friendly reception staff, shown to a huge room, more like an apartment. It was a lovely cool restful space, and the ground-level bar and courtyard were beautiful. We found it worth the reasonable cost and would certainly stay there again.

We booked this hotel through Priceline for $129/night and were a little nervous about the reviews, but this ended up being our best hotel of our trip.

We needed a triple occupancy (3 friends) and were given Room 224 in the main building. I cannot comment about the other building. The room was perfect for us. It was loft style with the main bedroom upstairs with a bathroom. Downstairs was a single bed, another bathroom, and a kitchenette and living room area (with a pull-out bed).

Internet access is included and worked fine for our needs. Breakfast was decent with a larger variety of items than some of the other places we stayed on our Italy trip.

The location is a little far from the city center but still walkable (about 15 min walk). We took a taxi a few times in the evenings when we wanted to wear heels :) The front desk will call for a taxi and it only takes a few minutes.

There is a small "supermarket" and enoteca (wine shop) right across the street.

Room Tip: Room 224 is perfect for triple occupancy or family. It had a king size bed in the loft, a single be...
