A Suite in Florence

From the moment the front door was opened, my family and I have had an amazing stay! The accommodations are luxurious, to say the least. We were greeted with a sampling of Italian food and wine, as well as every type of Italian coffee maker. My boys especially enjoyed the large living area. With four of us, we never felt crowded in the apartment. The apartment is fully equipped with every item you need (Wifi, A/C, washing machine, dishwasher, utensils, etc.) It was especially nice to wake up to a great cup of espresso in the morning! We will return next year to a suite in Florence. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

My teenage daughter and I stayed for four glorious nights at the end of a month long adventure through Europe. Without hesitation this stay was a highlight of the trip.
The location is terrific, within a ten minute stroll there is David at the Academia Museum the San Lorenzo Market's and the Duomo and yet not touristy at all. The furnishing and attention to detail throughout the apartment are fantastic. Complimentary chilled rose and fresh strawberries at the end of the day, heaven. The hosts were helpful gracious and kind. The restaurant recommendations were spot on from the casual lunch suggestion to the more formal dinning. I could go on... JUST BOOK, you will be enchanted.

Room Tip: I had a tour of all available rooms and they are all fantastic..enjoy

Our stay was without a doubt unforgettable. The apartment was everything we had hoped for: perfectly located in the centre of Florence, spacious, clean, tasteful and equipped with every amenity one could possibly need on holiday (Wifi, iron, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with utensils, washing machine, etc.). It truly felt better than staying in a 5 star hotel!
What impressed us the most was the gracious hospitality of the hosts, which ensured that our stay was as perfect from the beginning until the end. We will definitely come back!!

Our party of three stayed at this property from May 6 to May 11,2012.We felt welcomed immediately upon our arrival, when we were greeted by Paolo, who walked us through the apartment and showed all the features. The fridge was stocked with complimentary juices, milk, olives, souses, wine and bottled water, with pasta and biscuits in the pantry- it was very helpful, since we arrived on Sunday, when about everything is closed. This beautiful apartment is tastefully decorated and equipped with attention to details, and it has everything one might need- the iron and an iron board, washing machine, satilite TV, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, kitchen utensils, cables, adapters ,chargers, A/C - everything is in pristine conditions. This charming old building situated on a quiet street, yet in walking distance to all major attractions: 2 min to Mercato Centrale, 5 min to San Lorenzo, 10 min to SMN Stazione, 15 min to Ponte Veccio, 25 min to Pitti Palace. We even walked to Piazzale Michelandjelo - it took about 40 min.
Mario was very helpful and responded immediately to our questions; we cannot thank him and his family enough for being such a wonderful hosts.
This accomodation was the best in our Italian vacation- I 'd rate it as a 5 +stars property-absolute gem in the heart of Florence.

A truly beautiful space with everything you could ever need and more.
With two adults and a nine year old in our party, the two floors and
two bathrooms were ideal. We loved all
the modern amenities in this newly renovated space. The kitchen was
fantastic, and fully equipped, and having a washing machine in the
apartment was such a perk.

The location of this apartment could not be better. It's neighborhood
location was on a quiet street, but close to everything we wanted to
see and a short walk from the train station, which made it great for
our home base for several days. It was nice after a long day out to be
able to return "home" to eat dinner, relax and plan our next day.
There were also tons of great restaurants nearby.

Thank you to Mario and his family for being such gracious hosts. This
was hands down our favorite accommodation on our trip, AND an exceptional
value for the price!

The pictures do not do this apartment any justice; the tall ceilings and light really make the space feel open and spacious. The decor is an eclectic blend of modern and traditional. This was tastefully planned, not thrown together in haste. The view from the window is like a picture postcard (it's now my screen saver). The location is on a quiet street only a few blocks from Mercato Central/San Lorenzo. Very close to Il Duomo, the Accademia and Palazzo Medici Riccardi. The walk from Santa Maria Novella Station is about 10 minutes, close to transportation and perfect if you want to day trip to other Tuscan towns and fashion outlets. Close to the sights but not trapped in the middle of the most congested/noisy streets; an excellent balance. Mario and family were extremely generous and gracious hosts, very attentive and helpful, with superb choices on restaurants and activities. He was also extremely thoughtful by stocking the pantry and fridge with complimentary pasta, sauce, olives, olive oil, water, wine and jam. Our favorite places to eat were: La Giostra, Trattoria Tiberio, Carabe (gelato) and Mercato Central, all recommended by Mario. Must see: Santa Croce, Boboli Gardens, the Bargello, the Accademia, the Palazzo Medici Riccardi. Unexpected Gem: the food, arts and furnishings exposition that we stumbled upon in the Fortezza da Basso. This was a memorable vacation and having a place that really felt like a home was truly special. No hotel can give you this type of experience and we can't wait to come back to stay with our new friends.

My spouse and I spent just over a week in this lovely loft. In all of the years we have been staying in vacation rental properties we have never stayed in a place that was so well equipped - every detail thoughtfully considered, and then some. And our hosts could not have been more helpful and kind. Furthermore, the loft, while very conveniently located within short walks of the Duomo and the San Lorenzo Market, is in a real neighbourhood, away from the crowds of tourists. We will happily return again, although I fear that once this property is discovered by discerning travelers it will be hard to get a booking!
