I stayed here over Christmas 2006 and Christmas 2007 on family vacations. It's a lovely building, but the rooms are a bit small considering the price. What makes it unique it that it's the tallest private building (apparently) in the old part of Florence which makes the roof something truly special. Location-wise it couldn't be much better and the service was adequate. All that being said, on each trip I also stayed at the Hotel Alessandra just down the street which I couldn't recommend more highly and which (on account of having a few more stairs) is a good deal less expensive and has much bigger rooms. So you won't go wrong staying here but you can do a little better there.
