We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of October, four girls on a Tuscan escape! I can't tell you how happy I was when we arrived, as it was me who had chosen the hotel. From the moment we checked in, the charming elegance of the hotel envelops you, even if the lift was a little small! We stayed in standard twin rooms, which were beautifully furnished, with a feeling of old Florentine charm you only get in buildings of this age. The shutters on the HUGE windows kept out any noise, though it was minimal at night anyway. Then we found the rooftop terrace! WOW! It was so beautiful at night, with twinkle lights, and the views over Firenze. The location is perfect. We walked from the train station, WITHOUT A MAP :), within 5-10 mins; Ponte Vecchio is two minutes down the road, and along the side of the Arno. Duomo is 5 mins, in fact everything is within walking distance.
Breakfast was great, staff very polite and attentive, and dinner was served with such style, thanks to Mr Angelo! All polished off with a glass of wine on the roof garden, watching the Tuscan sunset. Bliss! Oh, and the rest of Florence was OK too! lolMore
