Stayed here for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised. When booking our trip we knew that we weren't staying at chain hotels, but more boutiquesqe places. Some were misses and some were hits, such as the Giglio. Marco the owner is very helpful in all guests needs, speaks great English and hotel is well stocked for entertaining children of all ages. The rooms were very clean and bathrooms are bigger than the average European hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and is in a good location. Also, owner gave my family a ride to train station on our day of departure.

This was a good hotel. The staff was very helpful even calling the rental car company for us. The internet was reasonable 1 euro for our entire stay. We enjoyed the breakfast.

We stayed one night at Hotel Giglio during our recent trip to Italy and highly recommend. The hotel offers a good value and is well positioned for sightseeing. Owner Marco is very supportive and speaks excellent English, and staff is generally quite good. Restaurant recommendations were super. Breakfast is generous with lots of choices, and the lobby is also set up for comfort for guests. We had free wifi here as well as access to the lobby computer for guests. We were able to borrow umbrellas and leave our luggage for day exploring and then got a quick taxi to the train station late in the afternoon. Be aware that this is not a quick walk from the train station - it took us about 30 minutes in the rain. Also look for the tiny elevator to get your bags up to the second floor where hotel is (called first floor in Italy). I chose this hotel because of Trip Advisor reviews and I was not disappointed.

If you visit Florence, stay here. Lovely hotel, warm and clean, great breakfast and absolutely wonderful owners. Roberto and family (and staff) couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. They gave us ideas on places to visit, guidebooks were available to borrow, lots of info on what to do in the city. Hotel is just a short walk to the sights and museums. I was visiting Florence to do the marathon, on the Saturday Roberto very kindly drove me and some other marathon people to the expo so we could collect our race pack and on the Sunday (marathon day), they served breakfast from 6am then drove us to the race start. So very, very kind and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We found the staff at this hotel to be very friendly and helpful although the hotel itself was average at best. The hotel is located up one level from the street which makes it a little confusing upon arrival. The room was typically small but also very basic. The included breakfast was adequate. Very convenient to the gallery with the statue of David.
