The view of Florence from this campsite is amazing and beautiful. At night, in the day, whatever, we were blown away. It's a short walk down into the town which is great, and the way back is a little up hill but it's fairly easy.
The actual campsite was fine, though the grounds a little too hard to be able to peg in your tent. For some reason there are A LOT of mosquitoes there, more than anywhere else we stayed.
The showers were average, nowhere to put your stuff and the doors didn't all lock/ were pretty low so you could see over the top on some of them.
The restaurant was nice, with really reasonable prices and pretty good food. They have a good market shop that sells pretty much everything you need and that was cheap too, and they also have an area with tables and chairs for you to eat your own food which we really appreciated.
The staff were quite friendly, especially in the cafe in the morning, where a very happy man worked and it was a pleasure to buy coffee off him.
At night there is basically an all night disco just next door to the campsite. It's very loud, and is almost impossible to get away from. I'd suggest buying earplugs!

Room Tip: PLUS Camping offers discount if you go to all Rome and Venice as well, ask at reception!

It's a decent campsite/hostel with a green setting, great view nearby at the Piazzola Michelangelo, decent facilities, and a friendly staff. Go there if you're on a budget (it was only 8-11 euros per person), don't need much internet (they were having system problems during our visit), and don't mind walking/taking a bus 30 minutes to get to the main tourist area.

Other note: If you're staying for at least 3 days, get the Firenze Card (it's a better deal than most other cities we visited). 50 euros gives you 72 hours unlimited access to public transit (so you don't have to walk), and unlimited access to many of the sites in Florence: The Academia (to see David), Uffizi, Brunellesci's Dome, bell tower climbs, and many other sites. The lines for some of these sites were ridiculous, and this card lets you skip them.

After a minor issue finding the bus stop (road works have changed all bus stops) we arrived up on the hill for the campsite. Check in was an issue with our request going through three different people. Basically the price they list online is different to the price at front desk and it took a while of negotiating we got almost the same price as listed for the shared tent. The room was clean but we didn't have any sheets provided on the bed. Went back up to get the sheets and the old Italian guy was there interrupting the staff and said 'have you got a reservation'. When we said we had already checked in, the staff begrudgingly gave us the sheets. We think that because we got the room for 3 euro cheaper each because booking in person we were not welcomed. The wifi was no existent and no charger points in the room so all the guests have to gather around the one point in the bar area. The showers are a dribble. As everyone has already said the club is LOUD! 3am in the morning and the DJ is still pumping up the huge crowd in the club. The bed was comfortable but squeaky. You can store your luggage for free near the reception but we didnt know and put our bags into a big locker for 1 euro.

We must say that the morning staff were absolutely amazing in helping us get directions to the campsite in Venice and we left with a smile on our face. So we say a big thank you to them!

We are a couple travelling in a motorhome. This campground cost us 40.70 euros per night - very expensive but we accept that you pay for the fabulous location. This is a very busy campsite and they must be raking in the money. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the attractions of Florence each day.

However, the toilets and showers need proper cleaning, not just a daily once over. The accumulated dirt is disgusting.

Staff need to allocate pitches - many large pitches suitable for large outfits were occupied by small tents and caravans - leaving only very tight pitches.

The open drains need attention - in the recent dry weather they smelled badly and there were lots of mosquitos.

The roads within the camp need upgrading - on the lower levels the dust blown by the wind and by moving vehicles was seriously uncomfortable.

The loud music until the early hours of the morning is unacceptable for a campground.

With a bit of TLC it could become again what it obviously once was - a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful city.

Room Tip: Get as far away from the loud music as you can!

My big issue with this place was the incredibly loud music which was coming from a club about 60m from our tent at night. Ear plugs were essential. However, easy to get to centre of Florence from the square and lovely views too. Good for a few nights - three at most - but wouldn't stay for any longer. Note - we went July last year, not Sept

I will keep this short, we had a 1 month trip around europe in a motorhome, this was the dirtiest campsite we stayed on and the most expensive. We paid 85 euros for 1 night, the toilets are disgusting, it is about as basic as you can get. It is close to florence so if that's all that matters then stay there, but for a family with children I would advise against it.

We came to stay for 3 nights, but it was a first terrible night.

When a camping misses the essentials, like conditions to sleep and bathroom facilities, how can you like it? I mean, there's a disco ten feet away!

The space where you put your tent was terrible, you can't find a plan site.
Too many bugs because of the garbage.

The only two bathrooms (right next to it each other (why???)) were so dirty, messy and crowded.

Because we couldn't sleep, we headed to the bar, there were lots of bottles on the floor, everything was messy, when we ask for a 70 cent ice cream they ask for a euro, 10 min later happen' exactly the same.
The staff was always moody and slow, helpful when asked a lot of times for something.

So, we came, payed 80 euros for 5 people, didn't sleep, took a bath or eat.
You pay for the location but the bus stop is better.

Room Tip: The noise from the highway is way better than the noise from the disco, so run to it.
