The hotel was adequate for our needs which were purely to get in as much sight seeing as we could in 2 days. Service was OK, staff were young but friendly enough and helpful when asked to assist. The safe in the room couldn't open until just before we left but they did offer to move us to a different room if we wanted after the 3rd attempt to open it failed. We had a tiny courtyard off our room which would be good for smokers. Room was big enough but bathroom was tiny. The hotel (including room) was clean. Breakfast was good.

Most importantly the hotel is close to most sights as well as the market and train station. We did some excellent tours with Mycity tours - all tours started under train station clock at 08:30 Siena and San Gimignano, Cinque Terre and Pisa tours are highly recommended.

I will start with the positives: the service at this hotel was quite good. We had a young lady majority of the time and she was very attentive to our needs. We had issues with the wifi and she made every attempt to fix it for us. She also assisted us with changing rooms at the start of our stay after the toilet in our room did not flush.
The negatives: the room we moved in to was almost unbearable due to the constant foul smell (not sure if it was damp, sewerage or mould) and also lack of privacy with the shower being outside the bathroom and situated in the doorway. The room was also quite noisy facing the street, as well as being very hot to sleep in. The breakfast was dreadful. Don't even bother with it.

I thought this hotel was clean, friendly with great wifi. The rooms were a decent size. Blow dryers were nice. Has an elevator if you have a lot of luggage. The cappuccinos were made fresh to order. Basic breakfast, only thing I wish they had fresh fruit. It was not super close to the train station but about 11 euro cab ride. I liked it I would stay there again. Very secure.

Room Tip: Ask for ground level they had pretty ceilings. I saw someone that was staying in one of these rooms...

This is not a luxury hotel, but I should say we had the largest room of any place we stayed in Italy. The hotel has a old-fashioned style and the service was great. It's about 15min walk from anything you want to see, which we appreciated as you could get away from the massive crowds around the Duomo and Ufizzi Gallery. If your feet get tired it's easy to get a cab. There are some nice restaurants within a couple blocks of the hotel. Yes it is technically within walking distance of the train station, but give yourself a break and catch a cab.

I really dislike giving bad reviews but this hotel fell short. There is a horrible sewer stench in front of the building at all hours of the day which they can't help but it's disgusting. When we checked in initially we asked if they A/C was working because it was warm out as well as in our room. The front desk person told us they turned it off last week because it’s getting cold. Our room, 114 was on the first floor facing a busy street and the room got very warm at night because there was no airflow without keeping the window open but the noise of people and cars kept us up so we had to close them. I don’t know how to best explain the bathroom situation in our room. The toilet, bidet and sink were on the left side of the room with a door for privacy. On the right side of the room was the shower with NO privacy whatsoever, there was no door separating the shower from the room except a lightly frosted shower glass door. I was travelling with a friend and this was a horribly awkward situation and we explained this to the front desk and they told us that we could not change rooms. We dealt with it for the 4 nights but it was a major disappointment. The breakfast was ok. Various croissants and toast with jam. Cereal was also provided as was coffee and cappuccinos. The wi-fi was free and worked but was very slow. The young man at the front did assist with making us a restaurant reservation which was helpful; they also called a cab for us.

It is a bit of a long walk back from the city center after you've been on your feet so long but the neighborhood is safe and quiet.

Next time I will definitely stay more central closer to the city center.

We stayed here last week and had a positive experience. Room was very clean - and included a refrigerator. Staff was friendly and helpful; made some museum reservations for us in advance when we ran out of time to do this. Certainly walking distance to major attractions, and away from the busiest tourist area. Would stay again. Didn't have noise problems.

The place is dirty, the rooms are poor, very old, plastic flowers all around, noisy as hell, to not mention the breakfast is really sad ... Consider that the place is 20 meters from the central police offices (the "Questura") so you can really enjoy police cars and vans going up and down under your window ( windows that very old, providing no acoustic isolation). We also enjoyed at 3.30 the washing of the street and sidewalk under our window: a cleaning truck goes up and down practically in your room for good 30 minutes!) again the same at 8.00. Btw, is fun to see the pics posted by the management on Tripadvisor... Another tourist trap in one of the most beautiful cities of the planet.
