Enjoyed our stay here. It really is the best value place in the most ritzy street in Florence! It is on the street of all of the fabulous shops such as Armani,Gucci ,Tiffany and Co. ...etc.
Also close to Ponte Vecchio and the River and not too far to Uffitzi Gallery.
Having said that I would probably stay in a more vibrant area, say near Sante Croce area next time. It's quite dead around the hotel street at night with not many nearby bars, restaurants. The rooms are noisy, not from the street but from the other rooms. The Internet is quite slow in the lovely lounge /sitting room and non existent in the rooms.

Flanked by Prada and Alexander McQueen, facing Fendi and Armani, #7 Via Tornabuoni right in the heart of Florence is a most unlikely place to find budget accommodation. Yet Florence is full of surprises. Hidden behind a daunting doorway and secluded on the second floor of this historic building is the charming Hotel Scoti. Rooms are airy and comfortable, the sitting area (with free WiFi) inviting, and the bubbly vivaciousness of Doreeen the proprietress a pleasant contrast to the stony unresponsiveness of Italian waiters and museum attendants.

We were very happy to have been able to stay at Hotel Scoti in Florence. We stayed for 6 nights and the location was such that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go without any trouble. In fact we could walk from the train station when we arrived from Rome. The Duomo is around the corner, as is the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery and not much further the L'Accademia. Doreen was really professional and friendly. The room was comfortable with a well-equipped bathroom. Unfortunately no hair dryer is available in the room. Some hairdryers are put in the dining room for guests to use, however we weren't always able to get a dryer that worked. A sweet breakfast is available at a small charge and it is served in the room. The wi-fi was not working in the room and we had to sit in the lounge to be able to get on line. What we missed most was the unavailability of a kettle. There is no facility available to guests for making coffee or tea in the Hotel and this would have been a huge plus point. On the whole a pleasant stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights last week. It was a return visit having stayed here previously 6 years ago. It is as charming as ever and the owner, Doreen was extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is fantastic, 5 mins to Ponte Vecchio, Piazza del Republica, Duomo, etc and the hotel is on a very fashionable street with Prada as its next door neighbour! Our room was spotless and the whole place is full of character. We look forward to returning to Florence and will most definitely be staying at Hotel Scoti again.

I only stayed here for 2 nights but it was a pleasant stay. Located on the Rodeo Drive of Florence, it's a fabulous location for those that love to shop. And just minutes to the main sights, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Repubblica and across the street from Palazzo Strozzi. Close to the train station as well. The hostess makes sure you are comfortable from the minute you arrive until the time you leave. A couple things of note...use the wifi in the dining area (the signal is better), if you get the single room k ow that your private bathroom is not connected to your room (although a sink is in the room), and the walls are paper thin.

Very friendly & welcoming owners. Location is great, 5 mins walk from all Ponte Vechio & Uffizi Gallery. Room was a bit small but appropriate. The owner lady made sure that our 10 month old daughter had a comfortable stay, which was wonderful. Totally recommend!

The owners gave us a lovely welcome. We were made to feel at home and we got the feeling that anything we wanted, they could have helped. Lovely people.
Perfectly situated for walking to the main attractions. The building is beautiful. The room very comfortable and VERY reasonaly priced. What a lovely place.
