My son and I were having a few days of looking at all the fabulous art in Florence ads stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were kind and helpful and although we had booked two singles we were given two doubles at no extra cost. The bedrooms were basic but we both had baths which I much prefer to showers. Both were well air conditioned. The breakfast is a cold buffet but plentiful and more than adequate but it is the location that is really good - very central and right by the leather goods market. We had a long itinerary of churches, museums, Palazzos, chapels, galleries etc that we wanted to visit and nothing was more than 20 minutes walk. Also very easy to get there from Florence airport as the hotel is close to the main train station when the airport bus terminates
The only negative was that our rooms faced the street which was noisy till late and woke me up on several occasions - exacerbated by the street being cobbled - I would ask for a room that does not face the street.

Room Tip: avoid rooms facing the street - noisy!

A good hotel where the staff are helpful and very friendly. The standard rooms are adequate and the bathroom is a little pokey. The A/C could do with a bit more oomph though. The continental breakfast was satisfying too. The location is central and is away from the hustle and Bustle. Central train station is a short 10 min walk max. I would stay here again.

We booked tickets with the local Art Gallery, the Uffizzi, and had to print them off. There was some difficulty, but the receptionist was very persevere, and helped us greatly on our trip.We went in the end, thanks to her help, and it was amazing. Thank you Hotel Botticelli! You made our stay great.

Great, centrally located, little hotel walking distance from most sights. Good breakfast and VERY friendly and helpful staff . The property, room and bathroom was very clean and maintained daily. Lovely shared terrace to read or have a glass of wine in afternoon. Straight down the street from the front of the hotel is the central Mercato (Central Market) lots of eateries, outdoor leather market and large indoor meat/veggie/fruit market downstairs, bars and eateries upstairs. Would absolutely stay there again.

Room Tip: Suggest taking a pair of earplugs, if room faces the street it can be a little noisy in the morning...

Stayed here 3 years ago and found the location in Centrale Mercato Piazza extremely useful to get to the Accademia, the Duomo, San Marco & Botanic Gardens, San Lorenzo and Santa Maria Novella and to & from the station all in 10mins walking, and a further 5 mins to the Uffizi, and the Ponte Vecchio,
So, in May/June this year we revisited by on-line booking which was extremely efficient and the hotel staff very kindly assisted with my special request.due to health.
The first floor front room was clean, with basic comfortable furnishing, with excellent shower-room & facilities, and air-conditioning - but suffered noise from the market traders & their carts from around 6.00am, and again in the evenings as late as 9-10.00pm packing up.
Previously we had a back room overlooking a courtyard and traditional tiled roofs and as I recall was rather quieter !! There is a small public balcony on 2nd floor where you can enjoy a teatime aperitif and in the right position can just see the top of the Duomo !!
There did not seem to be very much late-night life locally so we slept soundly ..
Bed linen and towels were changed daily . The staff were very friendly & helpful as before, however, we felt the continental-style breakfasts with DIY toast were not as high a standard as before - not a wide selection (only 2 cereal options) and not much fruit available - they ran out of eggs several times . As most guests stayed only 1 or 2 nights this may not seem important, but for a week I would expect something better considering the costs.
Overall - we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Florence and were most satisfied with the hotel's convenient position and the numerous trattorias & ristorantes within a few minutes walk from the door.

Room Tip: Suggest a rear room would be quieter !

Lovely boutique hotel only 10 minutes walk from Firenze S.M. Novella. It offers a free wifi and free continental breakfast. It is located in the heart of Florence - very close to Duomo, Uffizi, palazzo Vecchio etc. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés near by.

Our room was on the second floor, it was very spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good value while enjoying Florence.

A 15 minute walk from Firenze S.M. Novella, this is a cute little hotel with free wifi and free breakfast. We had a room on the second floor looking out onto the street and we had no problems walking around Florence from our hotel. We went to the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio, and the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore and the Galleria del Accademia -- all accessible. There's a ton of restaurants in the area so we had no problem finding snacks, light meals or a lovely bottle of wine. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good value while enjoying Florence.
