We stayed here for 2 nights on a short break to Italy. The hotel is a 15 min walk to the Centre of Florence (10 mins to Station). The owner Marco was incredibly helpful. He texted me a few hours before we arrived to tell me the best way to get there from Pisa airport. Easy by the way, bus or train both take around an hour for only 6 euros each. We were met by Marco who showed us to our room which was large, stylishly decorated with a very comfortable bed and pillows, good quality linen and a lovely bathroom. He offered us a complimentary glass of wine while we unpacked and then once we had settled in showed us on a map the best restaurants to go to and the sight seeing spots not to miss. for 80 euros per night for bed and breakfast for a double room it was very good value for money. When in Florence you must go to the restaurants Marco recommends, we tried to of them (Za Za and Quatro Leoni) both equally excellent. Shopping in Florence is the best in Italy in my opinion if you want something a little different but still affordable. There are all the usual designer brands (Gucci etc.,) if you can afford them, but several very affordable boutiques selling beautifully designed clothes at prices cheaper than UK chain stores. You will be stunned by the close up view of the Duomo and you must go to Piazza Michaelangelo for the best view of all of Florence.
