“Nice rooms, bit too far”
Reviewed 10 July 2012

I liked the room since it was huge but for me it was a bit too far from the main places (15 min to walk to the Dome) - which might be ok for others! Price is fair & good. Service is good. Rooms with very cute balcony available with a nice view! Breakfast was so-so

The downbits first:
It's a bit of a walk from the city center. It is not the fanciest of buildings (resembled my halls of residence from university) and the rooms do not have the most modern of amenities.

However, point one: Florence is a beautiful town, quite walkable really and if you want a neat and clean place to catch on a comfortable good night's sleep you shall do just fine with this property. I had absolutely no concerns with safety in this neighbourhood, the room was spacy and the beds were comfortable. The small TV was adequate to catch on some news and the bathroom good to have a decent shower.

Was out of room for bigger part of the day. Walking up to this place was never really a bother despite the relatively large distance which in actual is not much. In fact everything is close to everything in Florence, just that some things are a bit closer than others.

Friendly chaps at the reception, nice big and clean rooms with a refrigerator, decent sized bathroom. All in all all non fancy necessities met and some more.

I would not mind staying here again.

Whilst the location was very handy (about 15 mins from the Cathedral area), from the moment of arrival, with the tiny reception area, this did not feel like a 3 star hotel.

The bedrooms were rather dark, and not nearly as spacious as photos suggest! However the beds were comfortably firm, and the bathroom had a decent supply of hot water and nice towels. Another indicator that it wasn't a 3 star hotel - the (small amount) water leaking through the roof of the bathroom, which didn't look new!

Wifi was decidedly spotty - not all the bedrooms were covered, neither was the breakfast area, however where it did work it was quick. The small tv did not appear to have any english tv channels, which was a shame.

Breakfast was pleasant enough - plenty of food, if a little uninspiring. There wasn't any hot food, but with the heat outside, there wasn't really a call for it !

Overall, uninspiring.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with Wifi coverage.

The price was reasonable, location good - walking distance from city centre. Clean, simple rooms and friendly staff.

Breakfast was good.

Really just a 2 star hotel. Furniture is cheap. Rooms are dark. Reminded me of a college dorm room.. Internet was extremely unreliable.. Only one pillow on the bed, small bathroom.. Location and the breakfast are really the only thing going for it.. I would spend the extra cash for a nicer hotel..

The hotel personel was friendly and the hotel is at walking distance from Duomo and all other main attractions. The rooms are cozy and breakfast was good.
We advise this hotel for a confortable family stay.
The main problem was the difficulty in finding where to park the car and all places are paid.

This is a very good hotel if you want to be away from the crowds. It is about 15 minutes walking distance to the musems and other tourist attractions in Florence. Very close to amenities such as a launderette, grocery store, and not too far from the main train station. We stayed in their quad-room and it was comfortable, but the air conditioning was not the best. They serve a simple breakfast in their dining room next to an open courtyard in the back.. What made the difference for me was the desk clerk - extremely helpful and made us feel very welcomed. She pointed out the main attractions and events and provided us with a discount at a local restaurant. WiFi is available.
