A couple- Junior Suite with a view. The room was really beautiful. The art was very interesting and the bathroom was done very nicely. The location was perfect and reception was nice and very quick to check us in and very friendly. Great Breakfast, good atmosphere.

*This is a preference remark- The bed was very uncomfortable - the pillows were flat and after about 30 min. it was like sleeping on a brick. Beds and pillows - a preference. I like mine soft and fluffy, especially when it comes to a suite. I would rather look at a blank wall and have a good nights sleep than sleep on a brick and look at fancy artwork. I was dreading the second night stay because of the pillows.

It's hard to suit everybody when it comes to beds and pillows.

All in all this is a very nice hotel.

Dear Sir/Madam,
we thank you for your kind review.
You mentioned a junior suite room, but we don't have this type of room in our Hotel!!. However, if you were in our Hotel, it's really strange what you think about our bed and pillows,
because we have changed all mattress and pillows in all rooms the second week of November.
We respect your preferences( softy and fluffy) but usually all our guests prefer to sleep on new mattress and pillows.
We hope to have you as our guests again and we wish you a wonderful 2014!!

Federico

I stayed in the hotel 2 nights the end of NOV. I choose a double room with bath tube and view of the Duomo. The room has nice hard wood floors, nice frigo bar, lovely view if you request a room with a view. I requested a delux double with view and tub. The room was perfect I rented a bike and chained it to the railing along side the Duomo and could see the bike from the room! I would stayed here again. Ask them if they have a computer setup. I didn't bring mine and they let me use the computer at the front desk.

Room Tip: Do yourself a favor and choose a room with a view!! I had room #23.

The hotel I liked everything: friendly staff, comfortable room with good plumbing, tasty breakfast:were hot meals and fresh sliced cheeses and sausages, delicious coffee and fresh fruit. In the room was good wi-fi.Only one drawback: it was cold in the room; well that was a second blanket. The bathroom towel heater was very hot and it was good.

The people are very kind and help you with tourist information. It is located in an area closed to cars so is very near of all the main historical attractions. They are just a 5 to 10 minutes walk. The breakfast is really good, especialy ask for the cappucino. The service, the rooms has modern decortion and appliances.. is just a greate place to stay in Florence

Room Tip: I recomend you to ask for a room with the dome view, its very beautifull..

While I have been to Florence many times this is my first time in the Hotel Duomo. The location is right next to Santa Maria del Fiore and from many of the rooms you have a great view of Brunelleschi's amazing Duomo. The hotel is located on the third and fourth floors of a fourtheenth century palazzo (don't worry there is an elevator) and has been extensively renovated to provide a modern minimalist decor (but done very tastefully!).

The wifi is complementary but over eight days I had no problems with bandwidth or connectivity which was great. Breakfast is 07:30-10:00 and has something for everyone. If you are not a fan of caffe americano then make sure you ask for an espresso or cappuccino.

Overall very happy with all aspects of the hotel and more than happy to recommend it to others visiting the birthplace of the Renaissance!

I liked everything about this hotel. With a japanese "less is more"style at the room i had the space i need when i travel and a big bathroom which is essential for me. I had a single room which means single bed so if someone is alone and wants double bed,i suggest to choose the double room since the price of the rooms is not expensive. The location is perfect. There is all you need to have a sufficient breakfast but i didn't like the cappuccino coffee(we are in Italy after all, coffee is superb everywhere). It's a pity they don't accept pets.I' m glad that i know a good place to stay in Florence which offers more than you pay.

Room Tip: I had a room with no view but with a balcony- i didn't care about the view (the asked me) i want...

Excellent location, and the most amazing view of the Duomo from the bedroom window. The room was well sized, and the bathroom was huge and modern. The staff were able to communicate well in English and were very helpful, particularly the male staff member (I didn't get his name). Will definitely stay again if I'm lucky enough to return to Florence.
