Cannot say enough good things about the Perseo and Louise! The hotel is new and the rooms are nicely appointed and a very good size. The staff took wonderful care of us, and were always ready to offer us advice and assistance. They had excellent dining recommendations.

As others have noted, the hotel is within 50 meters of the Duomo and the midst of all that Firenze has to offer. We will absolutely stay there again.

Just round the corner from the Duomo. Gluten free breakfast was a bonus. Laura on reception was so helpful and gave us great advice. She recommended a pizzeria that served amazing gluten free pizza.
Rooms were comfortable, recently refurb'd, clean and quiet.

Stayed at the Perseo for two nights with my mum and it was great. Really central - 5 mins walk from the train station and 2 mins from the Duomo.
The staff were all really lovely - sorted us out with bus tickets, restaurants etc and were just so friendly and helpful.
The room was really quite big and the bathroom was new - everything was spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was good, standard continental - breads, cheeses, meats etc - but really fresh.
I spent ages looking for a Florence hotel and was delighted with my final decision, much better location and price than others I'd considered.
Cant recommend this hotel highly enough!

In a city crowded with hotels, Il Perseo stands out with spectacular value and a location that can't be beat. I'm always dubious when a hotel advertises itself as centrally-located, but Il Perseo lives up to this claim. It is literally steps from the Duomo (on a busy thoroughfare, but that can't be helped) and within a short walking distance of every major sight (I know, because I walked to them all). Il Perseo offers bright, well-appointed rooms with free high-speed internet access, modern bathrooms, a welcoming breakfast room and lounge, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. I stayed there off-season, and at a discount for six nights, but their rates are still low for what they offer, and an incredible value when compared to many of their time-worn counterparts. When I am in Italy, I usually stay at five-star hotels, but I chose Il Perseo because the other options in Florence seemed overpriced and, frankly, not worth the cost. I wasn't disappointed. Minor quibbles -- the free toiletries were very basic (I had to run out and buy shampoo upon arrival) and the breakfast fruit was canned. But there were fresh cornutti, rolls, and cold cuts, and a staff member was always on hand to bring me a refill of cappucino. In all, a very satisfactory experience, and a hotel I will recommend to my friends.

We just returned from a 2 week trip of France and Italy, we stayed in 5 hotels. The hotels is an easy 5-10 min walk from the train station which is how we arrived. We used the map on the website to find the hotel and it was easy. We stayed in room 303 which was a triple. Upon arrival we had a choice of 2 rooms. We got a welcome glass of wine since we arrived during happy hour. The man at the desk from Albania was very kind and gracious. We told him our son was allergic to peanuts which was on ongoing challenge in France and Italy. He offered to call ahead to a restaraunt for us to make sure they did not use peanut oil. Nice Touch!!! He also pointed out the area where they have a lot of leather for sale. We ended up buying two jackets. Any questions we had for the staff were always handled with a smile and a real desire to help.

We had a queen size bed and my son was on a twin which looked like it could turn into a bunk bed. The room was spacious and very clean and quiet. The shower worked well and we used the heated towel rack to dry clothes we washed. Breakfast consisted of a few cold cereals, toast, choice of pastries, juices, meats, cheeses, expresso, capuccino, hard boiled eggs, a nice spread to start the day. The hotel is very well located. After climbing to the top of the Duomo one day we went back to the hotel for a break. It is literally a few hundred yards down the street. It is also located close to my son's favorite gelato store in Florence.

We got an online special for a family of 3 direct from the hotel website which was the cheapest way to book them at the time. We got a room for 3 with breakfast for 99 euro per night. This was the lowest price for a highly rated property.

They also made reservations for me at the Uffizi and the Accedemia. They also told me a trick that when we walk up if no line don't use the resevation number just buy the ticket, you save 4 euro per person. We did that at both places. We would not have known without the local touch.

Last comment. This was a major trip for us, I spent a lot of time researching hotels and us TA extensively. I was not dissapointed. Every property met or exceeded my expectatons.
