We spent 4 nights at Il Perseo during our recent vacation. The Hotel is less than a five minute walk to the Duomo and within a few more minutes to all the other attractions of Florence, so you simply cannot get a better location. When we arrived the hotel was a little hard to find as the sign is above the door, rather than at eye level. The rooms are simply decorated yet comfortable and very clean. The main thing about staying at Il Perseo is that the people there are wonderful! When we arrived we were given a cold drink and allowed to just relax until our room was ready. The staff were incredibly helpful in getting some laundry done, getting restaurant recommendations, and anything else we needed. I have stayed in much more expensive hotels and not been as well treated by the staff. For a friendly and comfortable place in the heart of Florence, you can't beat Il Perseo. I would definitely stay there again.

I was traveling by myself and trying to save money so I wanted to find something conveniently located but not too expensive. I followed other's recommendation for the Hotel Perseo and I was not disappointed. It was a short but hard walk from the train station becasue the sidewalks are narrow and crowded so maneuvering wasn't always easy. The hotel itself is not aesthetically pleasing but it is clean and neat. The rooms are a good size but not much in the decoration department. you can't beat the location or the hospitality though. It is a short walk to the Duomo and the staff is extremely helpful.

This hotel is the best 3 star I have stayed in on our trips to Florence. Modern, contemporary, clean, large rooms, convenience, friendly staff,-what more could one ask for!

My 21 year old daughter and I stayed in this hotel mid July for 4 nights and had a fantastic stay. As part of our package the hotel threw in an excellent tour of Tuscany, (from 9am returning absolutely exhausted to Il Perseo at 10pm) A tour I definitely recommend. We chose this hotel because of the recommendations on Trip Advisor, central location and was within our budget. We were not disappointed. Thank you Trip Advisor.
The hotel itself is unassuming from the street in what I believe is the best location in Florence with superb views of Duomo and ten minutes easy walk from train station (S.M.N.) On arrival to the hotel at approx 11am we were greeted by Laura who impressed us with her helpfulness and friendliness - nothing was a problem. We were even permitted early access to our room which was very much appreciated as there was not a minute to be wasted exploring both sights and shops of Florence. The room itself was comfortable and modern with an added touch in the bathroom of a wall mounted small heated rail for drying any hand washing. The hotel provided a floating lap top (shared amongst other guests) with internet access in our room, an added bonus for my daughter.
All staff were helpful, however Laura and Tana were exceptional. My daughter's soft cuddly lion (yes at 21 she still sleeps with a toy) went missing from our room (caught up in laundry & returned to another room by mistake). Laura went into action, turned the hotel upside down until much to the relief of my daughter the lion was recovered and returned in one piece, together with a bottle of sparkling wine to apologise for the dilemma.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any traveller wanting a solid basic hotel in the heart of Florence. It is not the Hilton, however either are its room rates. What the hotel lacks in luxury the location and warm, friendly and accommodating staff make up for.

Hotel Perseo is a very short walk from the train station and steps from the Duomo, Florence's major attraction. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating. Be sure to ask for reservations to the museums, or else you will have to wait in an extremely long line to see the David. The staff was also nice enough to make dinner reservations for us as well. There is a happy hour with a free glass of wine and light snacks and the breakfast is more than ample. The rooms are normal size for European cities (which is small for American standards) but very neat. This was a fantastic hotel for the price.
