The Hotel Il Perseo is located in the center of Florence, one block from the Duomo and within easy walking distance of most of the sights and shopping. The streets in are narrow and one-way: a good computer- or companion- navigation is essential. Park over the curb and notify the hotel of arrival: they summon a valet to take the car to a (very reasonably priced) facility if you book ahead. The hotel is up an elevator to the third floor, there is a small lobby, reception, and breakfast space. The area is fairly accessible off the elevator.

The desk staff is incredibly helpful, not only with parking, but with restaurants, museum tickets, and advice. All speak excellent English and are friendly like family. Rooms tend towards comfortable / minimal: a firm bed, clean bathroom, TV and Minibar, no Internet or workspace. It was quiet at night. Breakfast was good, coffee, a small buffet off cereals, juices, breads, meat, and cheeses..

This is a good value hotel in an exceptional location with a great staff: an excellent base for exploring the city.

We loved our stay at Perseo. The location was perfect...steps away from The Duomo. Short walks to the Uffizi and Academia galleries. Right in the heart of Florence. The staff was terrific with service, reservations, recommendations, etc. The room was spotlessly clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was great and hit the spot in the mornings. A recommendation from one of the staff provided us with a wonderful evening and meal at the el Trebbio restaurant. A walk away from the central railway station if you're traveling by rail as we were.

This hotel was perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Florence. It's only about 2 blocks to the Duomo and right around the corner from Florence's famed street markets and cafes. It's also only about a 5 minute walk to the train station. The rooms were super spacious and clean! We booked just a regular twin room, and our room ended up the size of a suite, with a king size bed and another twin size bed in a connected room. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly and even suggested a wonderful little hidden area for lunch. Hotel II Perseo is a must-stay for anyone visiting Florence.

We arrived a day late due to my husband being unwell. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. Sent lemon tea and biscuits to our room, without charge. The hotel is in a fantastic position for sight-seeing. The room was all that we needed. I would definitely recommend it if you are staying a few days and want to pack in as much sight-seeing as possible.

This hotel is perfectly located 2 blocks from the Duomo and in the heart of wonderful walking in any direction. Our rooms were spacious, quiet respites from the busy city outings. The breakfasts were perfect. Cappucinnos, juices and light buffet food. Warm, agreeable immediately helpful staff made us feel so welcome. They arranged tickets to the Uffizi for us before we came and answered all questions cheerfully. It has a casual, relaxed feel to it that suited us. A very positive experience!

Yes, the location is great and the price is right. But I didn't like the fact that it was hard to find (literally a hidden gem), was on the 3rd floor and that access is via a very small and slow elevator. The breakfast room was small and squishy and the offerings were no big deal. That being said, however, the room was big and quiet, the shower was very good, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Considering we spent just one night there, it was more than fine; if I were to stay longer in Florence, I might spend a few more euros and look for something a bit more... ample.

My friend and I found this place wonderful. It was clean and affordable. Great location. Florence is a place where you can walk around everywhere. The staff was friendly. We looked forward to our glass of wine during happy hour.
