My husband and I were on our honeymoon while we visited Florence Italy. We found Hotel Perseo on trip advisor and want to echo the great experience that previous visitors have had. The hotel is in an excellent location. We were able to get from the main train station (Maria Santa Novella central train station) and walked to Hotel Perseo. We had two piece luggage set on wheels with a backpack and walked up the street to find the Hotel. The hotel is located in a central location and very close to the famous Dome. It's in the heart of Florence.

Not only is the location awesome, but so are the staff members. The staff members are really hospitable and made us feel right at home. There is free breakfast in the morning (a variety of items ranging from hardboiled eggs to cereals). The coffee and pasteries were great!! Our room was located in the back and it was very quiet. There is free internet access on their central computer. This was key for us because our we weren't able to get wi-fi anywhere.

The staff made sure that we were able to celebrate our wedding and have a romantic honeymoon. We had a great day of sightseeing and were out all day. At the end of the day, we went back to our hotel room and found a wonderful surprise, a bottle of champagne waiting for us. It was so nice of the staff and we really appreciated all of their friendliness and kindness.

We would absolutely go back to the hotel. We had no qualms or negative experiences. Everything was in walking distance of the hotel and we highly recommend it!

Good staff, great location. We were placed in a 5th floor room with a 4 floor elevator which isn't ideal with kids & bags. The bed had a major indent on the side and you felt like you were going to fall out of bed all night.

The location of the the Perseo could not be any better, centrally located...only two blocks from the Duomo. The staff was very friendly and provided some great tourist and dining insights. The rooms were comfortable and modern, and included a built in power converter allowing me to charge my Ipod.

We were on a cruise ship which stopped overnight in Livorno. We took the train to Florence and spent the night at this hotel which had been recommended to us by our son. It is one of the nicest small European hotels we have ever used. A 5-10 minute walk from the train station, less than 1 block from the Duomo, and convenient walking to all of the Florence sites. Room was quite large with a newly remodeled bathroom. We were greeted with cappucino and offered inormation and maps for touring. In the evening, there was a wine/snack hour which allowed us to visit with other guests, and the m,orning breakfast was much more than adequate. We had a wonderful, though brief, stay and will definitely stay there again when we return to Florence.

It's a very nice hotel and met our needs: convenient, clean and rather charming. It's about 5 minutes walk from the train station, along a shopping street and very near the Duomo. We could walk to all the major sites easily. The room size was adequate enough for our needs although the bathroom was a bit small. (And bring your own toiletries). The reception is on the third floor, accessible via a quaint lift which can accomodate 2-3 people + (small) bags. There is a small reception in the evening where you could have some wine and chips - nice touch, after all the walking during the day.

This hotel has a perfect situation, easy walking distance from the railway station and only a matter of a few strides from the Duomo. All other major sites are walkable as are numerous restaurants and shops. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the good value of "happy hour" is a bonus in an expensive city. In staying 4 nights we were able to make use of the offer of an excellent free trip around the Chianti region.

We recently spent 4 nights in this hotel. We stayed in Room 416 and had a view of the Duomo. The room was large as well as the bathroom and shower.
A tiny elevator lift takes you to the 3rd floor of the building. This is where the hotel lobby is located. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk recommended Ciro and Sons for lunch and it was wonderful! We enjoyed it so much, we ate there 3 times during our stay! Its located about 2 blocks from the hotel.
The location of the hotel was excellent! Just a few minutes walk to the Duomo, great shopping, and great food. Even though the hotel is located on a busy street, we never felt unsafe.
I would definetely stay here again.
