Hotel is on second floor (first floor in European terms). Loved this B&B, and we're not B&B people. The reserved, polite young couple who own this place have thought of everthing, right down to headsets for the flat screen TV. We booked two rooms, both were clean, large, with COLD air conditioning! Large bathrooms but tiny european showers - If you are built like an NFL linebacker or women's U.S. size 28+ you might not find the shower manageable, and there's no tub. Shower needed the grout scrubbed with a good brush, a little mold was present. Mini bar was great, cost the same as the convenience store on the street. GREAT WIRELESS and also a desktop PC. Mostly cold breakfast (you can boil eggs, there are some small sausages) - a selection of breads, jams, hot teas, and fruit. Great location, stone's throw from the Duomo and Accademia, short walking distance from everything else, we never needed public transport. Also walking distance from the train station, if you have a carry-on with wheels (versus giant suitcase on narrow sidewalks). This will be our first choice when we return to Florence.

Florence is a unique city full of medieval history. It was so nice to meet up-to- date services of hotel right there. Free Wi-Fi, TV with satelite programs. TV player, earphones, telephone in the room, vault-all that facilities make your lstay easy and pleasant.
The hotel is run by young people with modern mentality and it is obvious they do understand what the tourists need.

Room Tip: all rooms are comfortable.

This was a fabulous guesthouse with all the mod cons you could think of! The room was ginormous with a really nice sized bathroom with shower and bath. There were funky reading lights above the bed, a safe in the room, a huge collection of DVDs in various languages if you wanted some R&R. The sauna and jacuzzi were a welcome treat after all that culture and sight seeing! The terrace where you have breakfast or just chill out was lovely and the breakfast itself had something for everyone: cereals, tea/ coffee (all types offered), juice, croissants, toast, eggs, yogurts. The mini-bar was an extremely pleasant surprise. After paying on average €4 for a coke anywhere we went in Italy the reasonable prices of the mini bar meant that we went a bit wild! They also prepare sandwiches really reasonably. Fab old fashioned art deco lift. It was very central - just a 5 min walk from the Duomo, just a little bit hard to find at first as it's not well advertised from outside - I think they like to keep it that way. The hosts had clearly thought of everything. Only downside was that they were a bit introverted as hosts and not very warm or smiley, which we found a tad odd as B&B owners, but if this is the only criticism that's not bad!
We paid €130 in August.

Room Tip: Ask not to have the one right by the front door, as it was quite noisy with the door slamming.

Have stayed at this b&b twice, could not recommend it more highly. It's a fantastic place to stay, amazing location few mins walk from the duomo, while the location is top notch the accommodation is not noisy at all. Beautiful rooms, old building but with all the mod cons, great breakfast, fab bathrooms, extremely spacious. Have travelled all over Italy and this is the best by far. Don't hesitate in booking, look no further than THB!

Thanks to Tripadvisor once again for listing this accommodation. The B&B was extremely well presented with a very good sized room and a lovely bathroom. The breakfast area was quiet and the breakfast was yummy. The hosts were really helpful and even helped out with a magazine translation from Italian into English. An outstanding place to stay right in the middle of the old city, just around the corner from the Duomo, with a convenient bus stop outside the door to all the main sights.

Many hotels in Florence should take notice of Guest House Ghiberti in order to improve their business or at least review their very much overstated prices. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning, wide screen TV on wall, free internet use inside room so you could catch up on your business emails, very clean and spacious bathroom, a safe inside the room to keep valuables and a reading light for ebook. The breakfast was excellent standard. We have previously stayed in Tuscany where that's all you were given was a piece of cake, fruit, juice and coffee. At Ghiberti there was cereal, boiled eggs, sausage, meats, cheeses, espresso coffee, orange juice, yogurt, croissant - a perfect choice that sets you up for the day. Also Claudio (speaks 5 languages) was a fountain of knowledge for restaurants, sightseeing and shopping. Overall, this was an excellent place to stay which was very secure and was a place where you could relax at balcony garden. We will definitely be back.
