“Good location/good service”

The staff spoke excellent English and helped us get an early morning taxi to the airport. We did not pay for breakfast but several cafes are close by with brioches and coffees. I recommend you get breakfast on your own. Excellent gelato about three blocks away, Gelato Medici. Clean room and on bus route #13 to Piazzale Michaelangelo.

After reading some bad reviews regarding mosquitoes we were concerned when this hotel was recommended to us by some local folks, after our normal hotel had no room. But our rear-facing room was quiet, the heat plenty warm enough for late November, good location, quiet hallway layout, adequate European style breakfast, and well stocked toiletries. The shower stall might be tight for extremely wide Americans, but it was fine for us, considering the density of the buildings in this area. The manager and desk staff were friendly and very accommodating. As other reviewers noted, the location is excellent, close to tourist attractions but out of the crush of the crowds, with many excellent restaurants nearby. The building has an elevator, and what appeared to be separate accommodations behind the main building. There was a public bus stop a block away.

Room Tip: Rear rooms may be quieter in warm months.

We stayed here for four nights and left disappointed. The room was noisy, with mopeds passing in front of the window through the night, and the en suite bathroom cramped. Our biggest disappointment was that we were presented with a bill for 72€ when checking out for breakfasts that we had thought included in the price. The manager had most certainly conveyed the impression that breakfast was included when we arrived, and was rude about the matter when we challenged him about it at check-out. The breakfast buffet bar was not restocked and so if, like us, you don’t go to breakfast until 9 o’clock you may find most of the items already gone for the day (which only makes the 9€/head charge more galling). We requested that the hotel turned on the centrally-controlled towel drying rack in the bathroom (to help dry rain-sodden clothes) but they refused to do this in October and said that the racks could only be turned on in winter. The location is okay, but there are comparable hotels closer to the centre of Florence.

Within walking distance of the centre yet in a location which is quiet at night. Extremely helpful staff, good breakfast and near several restaurants with authentic Tuscan food. Rooms very comfortable with balconies to rooms at the rear of the hotel. Bathrooms cosy but adequate! Bar not open when we visited (Oct 2013). Near to stop for sightseeing buses which are also to be recommended.

Room Tip: Quieter at the back.

within walking distance of the centre of Florence, but make sure you have a good map. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable, breakfast was good and staff very helpful. The location meant that it was a quiet area which ensures a good nights sleep.
Hotel is in walking distance of the brewpub Mostodolce where the beer and food are very good.

This hotel is outstanding because nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they didn't charge for little extras such as room service on small items. Located a short walk outside the city, it is ideal for first-time visitors like ourselves.
Parking is extra, just be aware.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

This little hotel is situated just along the canal so it's a pretty location, but about a 20 minute walk from the train station and city centre. My room was a single room located right next to the hotel lobby; it was clean but quite small and the AC was definitely a blessing in the August heat. The staff were very friendly, I recommend it if you don't want a hotel in the centre.
