My cousin and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and absolutly loved it. Walking distance to many attractions. Large twin bedded room, very clean. Free breakfast was great, more than what was expected. Staff is wonderful!

We booked this hotel after looking at very encouraging reviews on Trip advisor. When we reached the hotel, I got very worried as the entrance is not at all like a hotel. Its on the 2nd floor and the elevator can only squeeze in 2 people (and I mean squeeze in!!!). However, we were greeted by Rosanna at check in, who immediately built a rapport and connection with us. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. One of the few hotels who thoughtfully put in a mosquito repellent in the room (there are mosquitoes all over italy at this time). The bathroom was also clean.

The breakfast was simple yet sufficient and they have one of the best coffee's I have had in Italy. Also I did not have to pay for it!!! Also they have high speed free Internet, which is a boon!

Everyday it felt like coming home to family and Rosanna has the patience to explain everything in detail to you. So the concierge service was excellent. Lastly, the location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic and all the sightseeing (even the furthest sightseeing) is all 20-30 mins walking. The Duomo and Musuems are within 10 minutes walking.

Loved my stay in Florence at Hotel Colomba!! Will definatley return

We are a couple with an 11 year old girl who stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. It is in a great location on Via Cavour, close to all major sights, banks, shopping and restaurants.
We had a very large room, with an excellent bathroom.
This great little hotel provides an above average continental breakfast and nothing is too much trouble for the owners and their sons. We were made to feel very welcome - they even provided me with a walking stick to help with the steep grade of the Boboli Gardens.
Thank you to Rosanna and family - we hope to stay with you again soon.

It was mid-June only and it was HOT. This wonderful hotel on the second floor has a/c and large rooms (at least ours was--there were three of us). It was quiet and roomy. A good central location with a McDonald's on the corner. And while one of our reasons for being in Italy was to eat and enjoy the food, I have to admit we did go to McDonald's one evening when we were totally exhausted from walking all over. And it was HOT. Comfortable beds. The bathroom was fine--I'm not recalling anything negative about it. It was Rosanna who made our stay a better-than-average one. She was born in Florence, but lived in Australia long enough to have that delightful "Aussie" accent. Her sense of humor is wonderful; her knowledge of Florence and its sights excellent. We began each morning with a good breakfast and Rosanna made just about any Italian coffee anyone could request. We would undoubtedly stay here again.

We happened on this hotel by chance....our first hotel had a pipe burst, and Rosanna and her husband were kind enough to take us in. The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable and the location was perfect (just a few blocks from the Duomo), but the real find were our wonderfully generous and kind hosts.

Rosanna and her husband made us feel like welcome guests staying in their home. When we mentioned we might be stopping by in the afternoon to take a quick shower before going out again, they made sure we had EXTRA towels so we'd have fresh ones for later. When our departure time needed to change slightly, they were kind enough to work with us. The rooms are basic, but have absolutely everything you could need or want. All this, and one of the least expensive rates of any hotel we stayed in during our trip!! Everything, from the comfortable beds to the wonderful breakfast to the extraordinary kindess shown by our hosts, will ensure that the next time we're in Florence, we'll stay at the Hotel Columba!

And did I mention that ra

Breakfast was great and it was one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in all of my travels! Great location, spacious room and bath, free wifi!! I can't say enough great things about this place!

Leading my family from the train station to Hotel Colomba, I was starting to feel a bit insecure. Waiting for the questions: "do you really know where we are going?" (yes, the website instructions were accurate) or "why didn't we take a cab?" (didn't need to, the walk was very manageable) or "is it really on this street?" (what we found to be a perfect location.) But, once we got off the elevator and met Rosanna we knew we had made the right choice.

Clean, spacious rooms, and a welcoming relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay. And the Breakfast was great. Sabina makes the best Cappuccino!

An enthusiastic YES for Hotel Colomba.
