Room tip: clean room was good for my children. but the breakfast was so simple that we can eat just bread and drink. For my children we've bring freash fruits. Because of cheap hotel price, we need to be patiently. however, clean room and the nearest station was so good!

Hotel Desiree is vey well located, really close to train station, one can walk around the city center. It is tricky to find the hotel, there are different properties in the same building, so read the signs when you arrive at the right street and number. There are few steps from the side walk to the building entrance and there is elevator to take you to the right floor.
The room is clean and comfortable, not fancy, just the necessary to spend a good night and rest. It is a room with private bathroom, very important to make it clear because there are lots of hotels with room but not private bathroom.
The breakfast is good, enough to get you going.
We will stay there again when in Florence.

The hotel is situated near the center of the city. The location is very quite, the breakfast is good, the room is clean. The things that I didn't like is the wifi. Wifi has very poor signal and sometimes nit working. Also the bed wasn't confortable for me.

Stayed for a long weekend for my husband's birthday in the lovely city of Florence. The hotel was exactly as I expected after reading the reviews. The hotel was in a great position for all the sights and the train station. The only problem was that the road at the front of the hotel was used by various coach companies and so was quite noisy and busy most of the day. However we were out in the day so didn't really cause us a problem. The air con in the room was excellent great as it was really hot whilst we were there. All the staff were really helpful and the room was cleaned everyday and of a good standard. Breakfast was continental and quite adequate. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had difficulty finding this hotel initially because the exterior doesn't look like a normal hotel. I walked past it because I was looking for the hotel sign, but found it after checking the street address. It is located on the second floor of an apartment building and from memory there were 2 other hotels in the same building. Has a lift to the second floor so no need to climb the stairs.
The room was tiny, but adequate. The staff were very helpful in reception and the breakfast was very good. Breakfast is supposed to be available from 7:15 onwards, but it was open well before then at 6:30, although not all food was available then. I was going on an early tour and it was good to be able to get a coffee and something to eat. Handy location to the train station. When you leave the station turn left and take the first street right and you'll see via Fiume on your right. The hotel is on the left side and only a few meters along.
