Although we were a bit taken aback by the modest entrance with the long staircase to the elevator, we absolutely loved the Davanzati. The rooms (picticularly the "upgrade" room) were lovely. The hotel is in a super location. Even though the hotel is located in the middle of town, shutters on the windows make the rooms very quiet. The Fabrizio's make you feel like you are staying in their family home. The evening happy hour (included in the rate) is a wonderful transition from a day of sightseeing to an evening out. They are most helpful with dinner and sightseeing reservations. Among the nice touches are a library of dvd's and books, a lap top in every room, and comfortable bathrooms. ,
