“Short walk to the historic center!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Very helpful and nice customer service , surprised to find complimentary drinks in the fridge.Modern bathroom just the shower was a bit tight. Superb celling antic fresco painting, which could be a bit more restored to keep the value .
Excellent location , no need any other tranportation but walk.

Room Tip: Not too long stay to be able to give any tip :(!

I should like to thank you very much for your review!
We are very happy to find out that you had a nice journey in our hotel.
We try to keep fresh the medieval paintings, and we also try to bring new things in the room, as the small bar in each room.
Hope that next time when you'll come back to us, we'll be ready with other surprises!
Looking forward to see you!

The hotel is far away from the train station, and minimum 25 minutes walk from the major destinations. Which adds minimum 20 euros for the taxi from train station to the hotel. No restaurant around the hotel, no elevator, room with bad smells, extreme crowed bathroom. With an average 90 euro per night without breakfast, it is definitely would be better place in florence.
The staff is not helpful and given ridiculous advice. We were told by one staff on the first day of arrival that there is a major Esselunga supermarket in a 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel, but the next day after wasting 20 minutes on walking, we found out it is a false information.
The staff only intersted in ask us to pay even before the check out, and we found us the bathroom towels are unchanged on our last day of stay. After we paid the bill and ask the hotel to call a taxi, the hotel said the taxi would come. 10 minutes after, the taxi did not come, and the lady at the reception was yelling. We end up getting help from a gentleman on the street and found a taxi to the train station.

We are very sorry to read that your journey in our hotel was unpleasant.
Our hotel is settled not far away from the city center and usually the turists have nice walkings towards the most important turistical objectives.
There are also 2 buses which take the people to the center and the bus stop is very close to our hotel, as you were told by the receptions.
Around our structure there are plenty of ristorants, pizzeria, rosticceria and bars.
The hotel is a medieval building, with a cultural value, so that we can not add an elevator, but our staff helped you to carry up and down your suitcases at the check in and check out, too.
The prices are visible on all the sites ( BOOKING.COM, too), so you decided to book with this price, on the confirmation sent you by email, you could read that the breakfast is not included in the price of the room.
In Firenze there aren't supermarkets everywhere in the center, so that you was informed that the closest one is at a certain distance from us and it isn't open 24 hours.
Your departure day was in the same day with the most important events of fashion in Italy , "PITTI".
Our staff is aware that one day like this brings problems, that all the turists are in a hurry, that the Taxi companies can not be punctual.
That is why the personal tried to avoid these moments.
We understood that this day was not one adorable for you, but we are sure that now we succeded to explain you that Florence is a nice, big, interesting city, and our hotel is usually one of the most crowded structures and the tourists feel good with us!
We are looking forward to meet again in our Hotel!

This is a great hotel in Florence! The rooms and service you get here is far better than some 4* hotels we have stayed in in the past! The reception staff are really lovely and happy to take you through a map of Florence recommending where to visit. They also helped us by printing out some of our tickets for our onward travel to Rome. They couldn't do enough to help.

The rooms are lovely and spacious with a complementary mini-bar stocked when you arrive. The distance from the centre of Florence is around a 15 minute walk along the river and if like us, you find half the adventure of a holiday, is walking and discovering new things, you'll love this hotel and its location. There are also some great restaurants near by, just near the Piazzale Michaelangelo, if you are looking for something individual and different away from the tourist traps around the centre.

We loved Florence and would definitely stay here again! Real value for money.

Excellent customer service. The lady on reception went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Complimentary drinks in the fridge when we arrived.

Lovely big room, great air com, great shower.

Short walk (15 minute) into town. Lovely walk along the river.

Great continental breakfast with warm chocolate croissants.

Only reason we did not give this 5 stars is because the walls were a bit thin and we were close to reception so noise travelled into our room a bit too easily.

After 3 nights in Venice we moved on to Florence. We rely on trip advisor to find nice 2 and 3 star hotels to fit our budget. The reviews are helpful. I don't know if ferruchi is for you if a warm room causes you sleep problems. There was no ac which the hotel said was a national policy not to provide it until June 1 regardless of the daytime temp. Wi fi also drifted in and out. There were no bed bugs and the other reviews delivered the goods. Judge accordingly.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and was very pleased. The room was really beautiful with high ceilings with a fresco on the ceiling. Location was good, a bit far from the city center but we still walked it each day or you could take one of two buses that stopped nearby. The breakfast is included only one day and it was very good with an assortment of coffee, cappuccino, espresso, pastries, hard boiled eggs, yogurt etc... If you choose to eat there another day it is 5 euro per person which I think is a good value. Staff was helpful and rooms were clean.

...we pre-booked a room in the hotel for our 5 day Florence trip and it turned out to be the perfect choice.

The hotel is situated pretty close to the old town of Florence, you can either walk along the Arno or take the bus to the Ponte Vecchio. A walk will take you 15min the bus only 5 minutes...

The direct surrounding is very nice, not too touristic and gives you a lot of options for your daily espresso and entrance to the ways leading up to the Piazza Michelangelo.

The rooms are very nice and the bathrooms are small but very modern. The staff is incredible nice and friendly. They even arranged flowers for my girlfriend when I asked them.

A definite recommendation!
