This was truly a 5 star hotel. We stayed here for three nights at the start of our honeymoon. On our arrival we were shown to our room and a bottle of pro secco was brought up to us with a lovely note congratulating us on our new marriage - lovely touch. Amazing views of Florence from the terrace where you can get afternoon tea every afternoon for free - though we only discovered this on the last day!

It was about a 20 min walk to the city centre - be aware many steps though so heels not recommended!

The room was beautiful, a little smaller than we expected for the price & we would've liked a room in the main building though I think we we're put in the seperate villa due to it being our honeymoon!

Breakfast was very expensive - 18 euro each for a continental breakfast, there was a cafe in the city where we got the same for 5, but for a 5 star hotel what can you expect!

We'd definately stay here again, brilliant start to our honeymoon!

P.s the English girl on reception was amazing and circled everything we may have wanted to see on our trip and the directions back to the hotel.

Where to begin? Gorgeous setting, quiet, luxurious. It feels like you are staying at a lovely home with the best staff, ever. Gabrielle, Antonielle, and Laura could not have been nicer or more helpful with dinner reservations and anything else you need. The shuttle going into town lets you off very close to the Ponte Vecchio-great starting point for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. We stayed in room # 303-I have never seen that much green marble in one place. I would happily live in the huge bathroom, complete with a Jacuzzi tub. After staying here we want to replace all our linens and towels-they are lovely.The room next to ours, # 302 worked better for my aunt who needed a walk-in shower. They cheerfully moved her here from her room in the main building, which did have amazing corner views. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the tea treats were so good. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and we can't wait to come back! Thank you all for making our 4 days in Florence memorable:)

The hotel is located on a hill with beatiful views to the city. We were given an upgrade because of our honeymoon and we have received a deluxe suite which was amazing. The staff was really nice, the hotel is beautiful. It is really peaceful there and not so far from the center either on foot or by shuttle bus. Mini-bar soft drinks are included in the room rate, which is really good.

A beautiful, well kept room. A welcoming lobby/lounge. Delicious food. Mimosas and bellinis available all day! But really, the best reason to stay here is for the view. You can see all of Florence from their breakfast area. Our best evening in Florence was the night we took a bottle of prosecco to the roof top deck - a small table for two and all of Florence, including a perfect view of the Duomo, to keep us company. It really was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this hotel, even if it is a little ways out of town - they offer a shuttle right to the Ponte Vecchio. Definitely give it a try!

Beautiful location, lovely and helpful staff and breath-taking views. We just returned and cannot compliment the hotel enough. It was a lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. I was always impressed with the fresh flowers everywhere in the hotel. The staff was always on hand to help out with questions, transportation and just making sure you had everything you needed. The breakfast area was perfect and the wait staff was fantastic. The food was always fresh and delicious. We always enjoyed the treats waiting in the sitting area. Champagne; hot tea; sweets and fruits were always in abundance. We hope to return in the future. It was nice being on the other side of the Arno and having the beautiful views to enjoy at the beginning and the end of the day. Can't wait to return and thank you!

We stayed there for only one night in Florence, however we really had a great time. We were given a warm welcome. Room was clean and spacious, and mini-bar was even included in the rate! Hotel does not have thousand rooms, so it is pretty quiet, which is great for resting.
View from the terrace is breathtaking, and gardens are beautiful. In the morning, breakfast buffet was good and healthy.
Hotel is located on the hill, so you have to walk for 20 minutes to reach the ponte vecchio. There is a shuttle service, but we haven't tried it while there.
Would definitively stay there another time.

We booked a Suite and we went upgraded to the best one the suite "201" having a magic view over Firenze and a very wide jaccuzi bath . La Vedetta is located near the Michelangielo Piazza , some 25 mn walk from the Ponte Vecchio...but La Villa makes your life easier having a free "navette" to drive you downtown and to pick up on demand (or close). Staff is miling and very present to make your stay a magical one. The restaurant is fine but not so special has the lodging in La Vedetta

Room Tip: Suites woth the price , pick the 201 ..;
