We promised ourselves we would come back to Florence and spend more time. We stayed here for a week.
The location is perfefct for visiting Florence. A few steps and you are on the Ponte Vecchio. Turn right and in less than five minutes walk you are at the Palazzo Pitti. The Duomo is about fifteen minutes and the Uffizi is about ten minutes. Shopping for the essentials is around the corner or you can go to a local market like Santo Spirito.
The apartment has all you need to be comfortable. It is backset from the street and very secure. Well laid out and spacious. There is an elevator. We were surprised how quiet it is because the balcony is on a court and not the street. The kitchen allows you to make simple meals. A choice of coffee makers for every taste and an apartment fridge for meats, snacks...you get the idea. A treat was a clothes washer. After a few days on the road, laundry was very appealing. And excellent WiFi.
Patrizia is a delightful host. Always available by mobile or email and very accommodating. She was there to meet us. Showed us how everything worked. Left maps and recommended places to explore. Would we return again? Yes!
We spent one week in Patricia’s lovely apartment which is just off of the busy road near Ponta Vechia. But we could have been in a small quiet village because it is so quiet where we stayed.
We can not recommend this location or the host more highly. She met us when we arrived at the building and took us upstairs to show us all the amenities. Her friend Mary who owns the ceramic shop downstairs is also very helpful and welcoming.
There is a small balcony looking out into the other apartments in this small complex, and that gave us a place for coffee lunch or our own aperitivo.
We absolutely loved the location of this rental. Everything was clean and ready for us when we got there. Patrizia was so nice and so helpful. We definitely recommend this apartment.
One of the best place where to stay in Florence! it's my second time there, and is always a good choice. Just at the corner of ponte vecchio, clean, comfortable and full of all the things that you need.
Patrizia is helpful, friendly and a very good host. I will recommend to all that will have a amazing journey in Florence!
What a great a place to kick back in the heart of Florence. A great roomy apartment with the Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti virtually at your door. Restaurants and cafes a few steps away. Patrizia was a great host, supplying us with a beautiful bottle of local Chianti, which we enjoyed. She also was readily available with plenty of local knowledge and help on the area.
One note, the shower head could be improved, it feels like showering under a tap, but this didn't dampen (get it) our stay at all.
I went with mum and we loved the location.
This is the 2nd time I've been in Florence and compared with my first visit, it almost felt like a different place because of where we stayed.
South of the river is bustling and also where locals reside.
You're close to shops, Michel angelo piazza and although it seems far from the train station/airport. It's actually walkable with luggage (20mins) if taxi's are on strike as it was for us.
Host was very helpful and responsive and made us feel welcome,
Only thing to note is that it can be a bit noisy at night. The air con unit in the bedroom is extremely loud so may be an issue if you're a light sleeper.
We were so happy to spend 10 days at this apartment. There you feel like home - so convenient, clean and well organized. It looked like Patrizia prepared the apartment for herself. We did not want to leave it! Thank you, Patrizia!
