“Noisy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2012

Very noisy guests. The people next room made so much noise all night we had trouble sleeping. We called the reception but they didn't do anything about it.

Dear Guest,

we are really sorry for the disadvantage that occurred to you during your stay.
Unfortunately the behaviour of the guests is not only under our responsability, but also, and mostly it depends from the manners (or lack of manners) of people.
However, we would like to apologize by the night receptionist, not for having brought a quiet situation after the due time.
Hoping to have you as our guests again in the future to repair to the mistake.

Room was clean, remodeled and beautiful. Huge window to let in plenty of light and it opened completely to let in fresh air. Beds were comfortable enough and staff was also friendly. Very nice dining area too.

The Hotel is ok, the restaurant is good, but people shouting on the corridors late at night turns any experience off. Even after requesting the crew didn't help...

Our family room was quite nice which made our stay very enjoyable. Ours was a family room which was clean and modern. We stayed two nights and found the staff friendly and helpful. The Irish bartender was an absolute delight. Breakfast was included in our price and was pretty good. There is car parking on site for an additional fee - it's very small and tight but served a purpose. We walked into town and left the car behind - it's not too much of a hike. Maybe a bit far for very young children but taxis are readily available. Definitely recommend this hotel for travellers not wanting to pay for 5 star prices.

Room Tip: All rooms at this hotel are clean, neat and fresh. Bathrooms are clean and modern.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in December, we found the hotel well presented and well equipped, certainly if you were staying closer to the Duomo, you would be paying 3x the price. The rooms were very clean, ( we had a quad room), beds a bit hard and the bathroom was a wonderful surprise as it was very modern and spacious.. The baths are equipped with comp. toothbrush and toiletries, heated towel rack etc and walk in shower. The breakfast is nice, with eggs, ham, fresh fruit, lots of breads etc and a good choice of coffees and juices. The walk to the Duomo is about 10-15 minutes and that is with me and a sprained ankle. The neighbourhood is near the train station and is a bit on the cusp of sketchy.. however at no time did we feel threatened. The parking is very reasonable and is well secured. The value for this hotel is very good, especially considering the prices closer to the Duomo.

While you can say that the hotel is located right next to the train station, It is still 20-25 minutes (or more) walk from the main attractions and if you want to check out Ponte Veccio bridge (forgive my spelling) - it is even further away. But that is not the worst thing about the hotel. It is located right next to a very busy road, where traffic goes non stop all night. The neighborhood is not really nice and if you can go for a hotel located closer to downtown, choose another one - that will save you a lot of time and energy for walking in Florence. Our room was ok - no problems, really, but it was really noisy.

Room Tip: If you have to stay there, make sure you reserve a room, which does not face the road.

this hotel looks wonderful in the pictures and upon check in. Closer inspection shows major wear. I was travelling with a group of 31 people, most rooms were average - mine though large had a 2 foot patch of mold. The hallways had a stench, bathrooms were dark. Restaurant staff tried hard, food was ok. Service from reception all depended on who you spoke to - I was not given a message that a family member was in hospital - unacceptable!

This hotel caters to student groups ranging in ages from 7years and up - most nights kids were running up and down the hallways yelling - management sometimes responds to your request to tell them to be quiet.
