We booked the 'Taste of Tuscany Day Tour' in hope of getting a real taste of this beautiful Italian region in a short time, and we got a lot more than we hoped for. Running down to the office in the rain we have to admit we were a little glum when the tour started. We were met by the very lovely Valentina and the eight of us were off. As we wove through picturesque, winding Tuscan roads, our guide Valentina proceeded to tell us some really interesting facts. A very warm, considerate and easy-going soul, with a dry sense of humour, she instantly put all of us at ease. What followed was a truly memorable day of wine, pecorino cheese and honey, ham and balsamic vinegar. Following the wine tasting we were all obviously rather giggly and happily sloshed our way through the charming town of Monteriggioni with its population of 47 people (if I remember correctly.) The gelato was excellent and had we been a little less lazy and wine-happy we could've shopped for some beautiful souvenirs here. Following this we ran off to the out-of-the-pages-of-a-book, Siena. After wandering about and grabbing a bite we then went for the best part of the evening. Dinner with the delightful Gianni at his farmhouse. With the delicious, fresh and homemade fare, a lot of wine, a lot of laughter and new Italian names (Luigi and Maria) we were dropped off grinning. We highly recommend this tour and the very memorable Valentina (we'd love to have you over, if you're reading this) to anyone headed to Tuscany.

We loved our tour, it was probably one of our favorite days we spent in Italy. Our tour guide was amazing and even helped us schedule the day through the rain! I can’t talk enough praises about our experience at Giovannies. I never thought I would get to meet someone local who truly lived and worked off the land - An unforgettable experience.

Great wine tour! We got to try more than just wine, there was balsamic vinegar, truffle oil and some food made from local produce including chick peas and tomatoes. Carlo who showed us their small vineyard and Gianni who cooked our food were full of life and lots of fun, colourful characters who made the tour really. The nice addition of passing through San Gimignano finishes off the tour nicely. I'd be surprised if anyone comes back from this tour regretting having gone.

My friend and I booked onto this tour so we could see more of the neighbouring areas of Florence. The guides were great and very informative. The wine tasting was excellent and the drive through the countryside was beautiful. It was a great way to see Sienna and the Tuscan countryside. The dinner at Johnny's Tuscan farm was so much fun and great food and wine - it was the perfect way to end the day. The guides even dropped us back at our hotel afterwards. The tour was fantastic value for money and we recommend it highly!
