we took the tour in the slow season and were the only people on the tour. The owner was kind enough to let us know ahead of time and gave us the option to change days if we wanted. we kept the tour time and were concerned that it would be awkward- it was anything but! we had a great time and felt like we had made a new friend by the end of our trip

the wine tasting school was a ton of fun- pairings with salami, cheese, salad and great instruction. some excellent wines too!

San Gimingiano was amazing- small, beautiful, and something we would not have done normally. great gelato here!

because we were only 2 people, we ate lunch with a lovely old man, Giovanni. cannot reco this trip enough.

My wife and I (30-35) are both old souls but love good company, good food and of course... love wine. One of our top priorities as part of visiting any new place is to take any opportunity to experience a taste of what it might be like to live locally. That's most often very difficult to do when you only have a week or two do experience it.

Since our visit to Italy has been in January during the off-season, we were fortunate enough to get some one-on-one time with Irene and couldn't have enjoyed it more. She offers lots of great information during the drive and engages you in conversation. She makes stops along the way to allow you to take in the gorgeous country-side views throughout the Chianti region, gives you the freedom to roam the quaint streets of San Gimignano, sample some fantastic wines and taste some fabulous local Tuscan cuisine!

In our opinion: it's one experience to visit a couple of wineries and taste good wine but another completely above and beyond to get to feel like you've had the opportunity to get a taste of the Tuscan culture while doing so.

In addition to being one of the more affordable experiences available, we felt like we got a much more intimate experience than what any large-group tour could ever offer so couldn't give this tour a higher recommendation!

This was one of the first times I travelled alone and I heard about this tour by chance from some people I met in Florence. I booked it not expecting much of it, but it really exceeded my expectations. It was a bit pricy costing 50 euros, but that only seems like that at first glance. It is a tour for young people and you travel in a minivan so there can be just 8 people on the tour which makes it much more personal. The tour guide Nico was awesome, he gave us all italian names and told us interesting things about Tuscany and he joked with us of course :) The tour includes a visit to a winery where you are given a tour of it and you try a bunch of stuff that is produced there. The lunch was great and we felt like we were in someone's home for lunch. At both places you can buy wines or other products that are of great quality. The last stop is San Gimignano, where you can try 'the best gelato in the world' and visit the wine museum. To conclude, what makes this tour so special it that it is so personal, and you really feel special for a budget friendy price.

Had a great experience with Alex the trip leader on our day trip to Pisa and the cities of Cinque Terre. It was great to have all of the transportation figured out by the tour company so we did not have to worry about it ourselves. Alex was great at telling us about the places we were seeing. Alex also adapted amazingly and quickly to train cancellation issues and still managed to get us everywhere we needed to go and to get us home at the end of the day. Great tour, great value, highly recommended!

We loved the day trip we took with Tuscany on a Budget! Irene, our guide, was so entertaining and informative and really brought our group together. We had so many laughs! The highlight was definitely the dinner at the end of the tour with a local who makes his own wine and lemoncello. Amazing food and wine and atmosphere! It really felt like an authentic Italian experience and was better than any restaurant we went to on our trip. MUST DO if you are in Florence
