“Great Gelato and other treats!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

We were walking the streets of Florence near the Piazza Del Duomo when the Tuscan Sun was steering us in the direction of some refreshments. As luck would have it we were strolling on Via Dei Servi where we happened upon Mordilatte. A couple of small cones with exceptional Gelato and a pair of mineral waters ran 6,60 Euros which was quite reasonable and well worth the investment in sweet treats! Highly recommend if for no other reason than to watch the lady build a generous serving of Gelato atop a cone using only a spatula!

“Awesome gelato!”

Totally recommended. Take your time to visit this place, their gelato is one of the best I've eaten in Florence...And I have been living here for long time!

“that's gelato”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

If you're looking for gelato in Florence just go Mordilatte, next to the Duomo. Gelato is excellent, with generous portions. Flavors are always fresh. Cremino is a must, the trademark of Mordilatte. Also fruit flavors are good (usually more difficult to find of a good quality).

“best gelato !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

I went to Italy for 6 days and I had gelato every single day , sometimes even twice, and sampled a lot of gelato from different shops. I must say this one was my favorite! V. nice flavor and smooth consistency. Price was reasonable too. If you're in florence you have to try it!!! You won't regret!

“Closer to ice cream”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014 via mobile

Gelato was ok at best--probably the worst we had in two weeks in Italy. Closer to ice cream than typical gelato texture/temperature/flavor--denser and colder.

Service was polite and prompt.

Try elsewhere for gelato in Florence. Santa Trinata or Cararia are both quite good, and Neri is fine.
