“An excellent stay in Florence”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We booked this hotel on the basis of its central location and competitive pricing. We were not disappointed at all with any aspect of our stay here - this is an excellent hotel.
The hotel is literally two minutes walk from the cathedral, and with Florence being a reasonably compact city, nowhere is too far away. The rooms are very well appointed, our upgrade put us into a large suite with a massive bed and walk in shower. All the decor is done to a high standard and the staff are very helpful, polite and attentive. Although the hotel is centrally located, there was absolutely no noise intrusion from outside, which was very good.
In short, this was an excellent stay in a bespoke, well appointed hotel. We would stop again without any doubt at all.

We stayed here for three nights during our trip to Italy, and the only thing you will regret about choosing this boutique hotel is not staying longer. The hotel is located close to the train station and the Florence Cathedral, and has a short walking distance to all the see and do's of the city, as well as the main shopping streets. The hotel is relatively new, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean with a great attention to detail (We stayed in a premium double room on the second floor). The bathroom was modern, and everything we needed were provided for us in the room. The hotel also has a spa on the bottom floor, where you can fully relax after pacing the city. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and the concierge gladly helped us navigating the city and picked out a great, family-driven restaurant close to the hotel for us. The full continental breakfast was more than great. Somehow the staff always managed to sneak in some chocolate and a postcard before we came back to the room in the evenings, a nice little gesture that always brought a smile. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Just arrived after a long travel day from Boston to begin celebrating big milestones with my wife and 17 yr old son. First impression is terrific. Modern, hip lobby and comfortable atmosphere. We were greeted by Alessandro and immediately felt a warm welcome to Florence and the hotel. As our room was being prepared, Alessandro gave us some great tips on what to do in our 2 day visit as well as some restaurants outside the tourist areas. As soon as our room was ready, we were escorted by Yanni to the various amenities around the property and then to our suite. VERY happy with the suite - #150. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but the suite is spacious, we'll appointed and even has a large patio area. We'll done.

This boutique hotel is located between the Duomo and the train station in Florence, within short walking distance. All the staff are very hospitable and welcoming. We had a great time staying two nights in July. The full breakfast was well presented. It was a nice surprise to find out it offers the first of each drink in the room's mini bar. The room is well appointed with attention to details, including high ceiling. We definitely will recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the inside courtyard is quieter.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon. We loved the hotel. The location was great, walking distance to everything we wanted to do. There are great restaurants in the area and the hotel staff was extremely helpful. They were extremely accommodating with setting up restaurant reservations and reserving museum tickets. The breakfast had tons of food options and something for everyone. We will definitely spend more time at this hotel on our next trip to Florence!

We stayed three nights, July 4th-7th, and we were happy with our choice of Firenze Number Nine. This is a very modern and chic hotel with very large rooms. Breakfast each morning was also very good. The gym and spa connected to the hotel was an added plus. We would say that the location of this hotel and the size of the rooms are the two best things. It is a very short walk to the Duomo and other landmarks.

The only negative I would share about this hotel is the noise factor. We were on the 3rd level and the street noise at night and in the morning was very loud. Not a huge deal but if I had to say something negative this would be it.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at this hotel before heading to Tuscany for a week. I'm finding it difficult to give an unequivocal recommendation for this hotel but at the same time can't pinpoint anything in particular that was unacceptable. The room we had was quite nice although not quite as clean as one would expect at this price point (which we advised the front desk of). The morning breakfast was ok but didn't vary any over the two days. I think that while the hotel overall was fine, it didn't meet my expectations at this price point. Lastly, once we had checked out, but had left our bags while we took one last morning tour, the staff seemed to have lost interest in us. This was particularly true of the concierge, who seemed more concerned with his computer rather than us standing in front of him. While not overtly rude, he was not overly friendly either, leaving us with a bit of a sour taste. If i'm ever back in Florence, I expect that I'll try something different.
