“Not much to see”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2014

Piazza San Marco is a very busy place as it is surrounded by roads and you see many cars and buses going by. The Piazza San Marco is located near the Piazza della Santissima Annunziata (a quiet little Piazza). There are some beautiful building surrounding it such as Galleria Dell’Accademia, Basilica Della SS. Anuziata, Museo Archeologico Nazionale and Spedale Degli Innocenti.

Not much to see but there are few cafes nearby and if you are in the area it’s a good place to rest and grab a bite.

“Plaza Dominated by the San Marco Church”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 September 2013

The Piazza San Marco is a plaza dominated by the San Marco Church, which has a beautiful façade. In the middle of the plaza there is a small park with benches where people sit. The plaza is busy because there is a bus stop there. There is nothing else of importance to see in this plaza.

“A typical Florentine square”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2013 via mobile

Piazza San Marco is a lovely typical Florentine square. 3 sides have lovely beautiful buildings, including la Chiesa di San Marco that behind the un assuming facade is a treasure trove of art. Perfect starting point for walk towards the other main attractions of the City Center.

“Piazza San Marco in florence”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2013

this piazza is not so great as of Venice. Very casual in look and not so attracted but ofcourse, you can sit and relax here if tired after walking alot in florence.Though it is listed in guided attraction list, if you have opted to explore by your own, probably better to miss it.
