Laura's apartment was the most perfect place to stay in Florence. Not only were the accommodations pristine, the location was unbeatable. Laura was incredibly helpful, as well! I would stay here again in an instant. Special perks were a bottle of wine on our arrival, the sweetest honeymoon gift, AND a comforter to sleep under which I hadn't had yet in Europe and LOVED! :) thank you, Laura, for an amazing stay.
We stayed 5 night from May 29 to June 3. The apartment is centrally located, within walking distance to all major tourist sites in Florence. It is spacious, modern and very clean. There is no elevator, so you should pack lightly because it is worth the climb. Laura greeted us with cold water, fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. She was very welcoming and provided us with info on nearby grocery stores and restaurants. The bedroom has a thick curtain if you like to sleep in a dark room. The air conditioner worked well and was needed as the temperature outside was in the upper 20s. The apartment was very quiet.
Oh, my, goodness! This place is so lovely - just as shown in the pictures and right in the middle of Florence. The advantage to being on the 4th floor (as we in the US count) is that the apartment is light and airy, and you don't hear the noise of the city as you would on a lower floor. The disadvantage is, well, 60 steps up with whatever you've packed. However, Laura is an excellent, quick communicator who makes you feel totally at ease. She met us, helped us orient ourselves to the city (our first visit), and left us a bottle of wine to welcome us. This place is super clean. We met friends in Florence who had a tiny hotel room nearby for what we paid for this apartment, something worth considering. This is an excellent choice, especially if you plan on doing any cooking, even simple breakfasts.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The apartment was beautiful. The location was perfect for the sights and our visits. The location was adjacent to excellent value cafès and restaurants.
As standard, we received a tasty bottle of wine and some provisions. The stay included fresh towels and a new inside shower mat to complement the extremely high standards of cleanliness.
Laura, the host, was very helpful. There was a library of useful reference material.
All in all, this was our benchmark for high quality on our five centre Italian adventure. Thank you so much.
We were impressed with this holiday rental from the beginning - Laura was so helpful and accommodating, the bottle of wine and traditional Florentine Christmas biscuits she left for us was particularly well received following our 24 hours of travel! The information left by Laura about local restaurants, etc was also very helpful and was greatly appreciated. The apartment is beautifully presented, well-equipped and is centrally located for walking around Florence. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Florence!
This apartment is awesome! So lovely and so quiet!! It is in a great part of town-close to the Arno and designer shops. High rated restaurants close by. Short walk to Duomo, Uffizi, everything. The apartment and kitchen had everything we needed and the owner is wonderful. Will definitely stay here again!
I can't speak highly enough of this apartment, very central for everything. The landlady was warm and welcoming and had really though of everything, umbrellas (unfortunately required for our trip), hair dryer provided and a lovely bottle of wine and fresh flowers on arrival. Yes the steps are a bit of a strain after a hard days sightseeing...I would not recommend to those with physical limitations because of the steps, but would highly recommend to everyone else...
