hotel panorama is about 15 minutes walk from the train station. going from and back to the station may be a bit difficult if one is carrying big luggage as the pedestrian lane is so narrow, its like good for only one person. cobbled stones (which of course add to the charm of the city) make it more difficult for one carrying rolling luggage bags so i recommend taking a bus or a taxi to get to the hotel.
when we got to the hotel it was a different experience altogether. cristina was just lovely. she recommended what places we can go to, which are near, or open on that day - it being a monday. it was too early for checkin so my husband and i roamed the city first.
it was good going back to the hotel as its close to the duomo so we didnt have to walk far. there are few restos nearby - if youre looking for fastfood theres mcdonalds and subway. cafes around the hotel are all great and the owners were warm and friendly.
there are mosquitos in the hotel but they provide the electric repeller. breakfast room gives a good panoramic view of the duomo and the city. breakfast consists of cereal, yogurt, bread, jam, ham, fruits and coffee.
overall a good experience for its rates.More
