We had a nice stay here overall. The hotel is in a good location - very close to the Accademia, close to a street with lots of restaurants, and around 8 blocks away from the Duomo. The staff are generally helpful and nice. Breakfast is on the top floor with a nice view and the breakfast was very nice.
We stayed in the most basic level room and there were some down sides that we experienced. The room was nothing special, very basic. The hotel made weird noises at night and we could hear water running in other rooms to the point that it kept us up and we needed to use earplugs. The bathroom was a wet room, no separate shower so, like all wet rooms, the entire bathroom could get very wet when we took a shower and then took a while to dry. Our room wasn't cleaned the first day even though we know someone came into our room to adjust our thermostat. We asked the hotel to reserve museum times for us and because of a staff miscommunication they didn't. When we checked in they apologized and called right then to make the reservation. We had to get a slightly different time because our originally requested times were full but that wasn't really a problem. That being said if we were staying here during peak times and not October this probably would have been much more of a problem.
Overall we had a fine stay here, it just wasn't remarkable.

We apologize again for not having cleaning your room that day. We write down a note for the cleaners with all the rooms to clean day per day, it happened that we skept the number of your room. Anyway, I can assure that nobody entered your room: we don't need to adjust the thermostat into the room, since we have a central setting system, and actually it adjusts itself authomatically.
You have booked an economy room, your room is on the economy rate not becouse of the size, it is pretty large, but becouse it has no shower box and it can't have it to allow wheel chair to get into the shower.
All our rooms are simple, let's say basic, this way we can clean them better and welcome pets.
Sorry for having forgot your reservation at the museum, it's my fault (I can remember it pretty well), I'll do my best for not forget things anymore, also when I'm very busy, luckily it was possible booking it on the morning.
And about the weird noises, we didn't know, it is the first time we were told this. We will figure out what is it.
Kind regards
Cristina

We chose this hotel because we prefer smaller, family-run hotels over the big hotel chains with hundreds of rooms to run. This way the guests remain individuals, and that was really proven during our stay. The sisters at the reception were really nice and helpful, attentive to all our needs. Booking tickets, etc. We had a nice, peaceful room with a view - and a terrace. There was also a small fridge, so for sure we were allowed to bring in food (of course not from the breakfast room but bought our own). This fantastic room had only three things we'd like to see improved before returning there. Firstly, the shower corner was so tiny and its narrow opening of the doors made it almost impossible to squeeze in. Secondly, one of the matrasses of the double bed must have seen its best days, the springs were clearly outdated and poking on my back. A quick fix was done by the staff by adding a duvet on top of the matrass - ok, it improved the sleeping a bit but did not solve the problem. Lastly, we also had major issues with the wi-fi, in particular in the evenings it did not allow access to any other pages than yahoo.it in italian. It would be better to have a password protected wi-fi to prevent all those living in the building from competing of wi-fi access with you. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay there. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. The area was more quiet than we dared to hope for.

We all like treat with our customer as individuals, this so bovious to us: customers as the same of us when we are travelling.
Sorry for your inconvenience, we don't sleep in the hotel bedroom, so as the mattress had a good look we haven't notice the problem.
Thank to you we now know it and can fix the problem.
Hope next time you find everithing improved!
Ciao

Our room was very clean with a great view, it had a terrific old world charm with high ceilings giving the room an even larger feel. The best part was the generosity of our host, when Cristina discovered that we were artists she took the time to share her vast knowledge about the art we would see the next day. She has a real passion for her city and for art.
This is very much a boutique style hotel run by real people that care about their guests and they all do a great job. The decor was upbeat and happy. I loved all of the unique touches that you do not see in larger chain hotels. The Panorama is close enough to be within walking distance to all the sites yet just far enough away to have a great view and a quiet neighborhood feeling.
We will return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

I booked here because I was on a tight budget and I was pleasantly surprised with the standard of the accommodation and its great location (I would say that everywhere is within walking distance!).

The room was nicely decorated and extremely clean with airconditiong and a window with a view out onto a garden. Breakfast was a simple continental buffet with nice, fresh food and was served in a room with an incredible panoramic view of the city (probably worth the money just to eat breakfast here!).

I did have a couple of issues whilst here which I've been debating about including in my review as it wasn't entirely at the fault of the hotel but I thought people should know. The hotel, as it is good for those on a budget, does accommodate large groups. While I was staying there, there was a large group of teenage school children on a school trip staying in all the rooms surrounding mine. I was woken at 7.30am each morning by their teachers banging on their doors and shouting their names loudly to wake them up which also woke me up and was also woken at night when they were knocking on each others' doors. When I went to get breakfast at 8am (as I was awake from the noise anyway) there wasn't really anywhere to sit because it was full of the group and had to manoeuvre through to find a table at the back.

When I checked out, the staff seemed quite on edge as a large number of the group were in reception and when I asked if they had change for a note, I was curtly waved away whilst they dealt with the group which wasn't ideal. A "no, sorry" would have been fine.

Except for the noise and general mayhem caused by the school group, I liked it here but I probably wouldn't stay again.

We are sorry you was here along with the group and for our unpolite reply to you, we apologize. Large groups are very rare at our hotel, it happens only 2 or 3 times a year. We accept only selected small group generally.
It is very stressing also for us, as you could see.
Again our excuses

Kind regards

Wifi DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. No bugs, clean, quiet at night. For some reason the staff told us we were not allowed to bring food into the rooms? Wierd. Location is just slightly farther from the Duomo than most hotels, but still close enough. Breakfast was good (with a nice view).
Note: Hotel lobby is not on the ground floor. The hotel is only part of the building.

The hotel is from the secon floor to the top, this is pretty usual in old italian cities, but understand that you for someone not used to it could be something a bit weird. As for the food in the room, it's a long story.
According to our law if you eat something and you get sick, for istance- not to think something worst- we are responsable. We don't have any proof you haven't eat somenthig bought inside. So this is one of the reason.
The second one is that the room is not a restaurant hall, that usually is made for that purpose: it has wall that you can clean easily, for istance, it has no stuff like pillows or blanket that can smell of food later...hope this can clear this weird thing.
Have others nice trips!

It’s excellently situated, in a quite neigborhood, close to the main train station (cca. 1 km) and also to Piazza del Duomo (cca. 700 m) and Ponte Vecchio (1,5 km). Very nice, clean rooms, with a very helpful staff. You can take the breakfast from their top floor veranda, with a very nice view. It’s the perfect bargain: for a budget price you receive more than you expect.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Panorama - great location (central but quiet), friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms. Minor problem: few mosquitoes, and signs on the walls of mosquitoes killed by former guests (should be washed or whitewashed). Shower was a little tight, but we managed. All in all, a very good choice.

Thank you for your kind comment! As for the mosquitos, yes, they are. We tried to clean the signs on the wall, when we notice them... anyway, we provide free mosquitos killer as an electric emanator and tablet.
Have nice trips!
