“Walk the steps up the Duomo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

Worth climbing close to 500 steps to experience the exceptional views. Take the suggestion of others--buy tickets the day/night before you want to climb the steps and plan to be on line by 8:00 to beat the crowds. If you are out of shape or have problems with heights don't go. Otherwise it should definitely be on your "must do in Florence" list.

“Do this! See this!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

This is one of the most inspiring things you can see. You can't help but be amazed when you first walk up to this majestic piece of history. The visual façade of the exterior is just jaw-dropping. It takes a lot to capture all of it in photographs even with panoramic views. There is so much to see also in the immediate vicinity. I did not get a chance to climb up the top however others visiting with me did go and said that it is well worth it. The price is also very reasonable. Many shops and restaurants right around this plaza also.

“A must, but only if your heart is strong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014

This is a fabulous experience, enhanced if you're aware of the history of the structure. If you have a at least three days in Florence, buy the Firenze pass. It is pricey, but if you've spent several thousand to be in Italy, why would you stand in line for hours for major sites. Your travel time is valuable, make the most of it. Definitely climb the steps to the cupola....it will make your memory for Florence!

“Must see!”

Tough climb but worth the view especially on a sunny day! We stayed outside the city so we have pictures both up close and far away!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

It can be a bit claustrophobic to walk up the narrow stairs when there is a huge crowd, but it is really a cool place. Try to make it early in the morning so it is not so crowded.
