“Excellent- but you need a whole day”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

Its VAST AND BEAUTIFUL.You can take a buS from Firenze SMN bus station. Its close to the bus stop.Buy tickets for the Gardens too.Gardens are the star attractions, they are very pretty. Its kids friendly.AFTER the museum visit, a visit o the gardens is a must. Its advisable to take the maps to guide you to the gardens and the surrounding area.Take water to drink and some snacks since its a huge place. You can take lovely photos and you get amazing views of the city too. You have a small cafe in one of the gardens.Food there is good if you haven't eaten anything.Overall a place to relax and take lovely photos.

“Great art, great architecture.”

This is time and money well spent. Leave some extra time if you want to enjoy the gardens too. It's a pity there is no photography allowed...there was a lot to take in.

“Worth visiting”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

We pre-booked our tickets online but the queue was not very long when we reached at around 2 pm. Inside the galleries, the artworks were left in the same arrangement as they were when the owners occupied the palace. As we had no guides, we found the little information pamphlets in each room very useful as it gave us useful information on the artworks. We spent about 90 mins inside the galleries.

“Pitti Palazzo”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

It is the former home of the Medici families and also Hapsburg. It is a beautiful place with many interesting rooms. Also showcases of fashions during the (I think 30,40,50) Hard to believe how dated the fashion is to the eye.

“Walked out of coffee bar”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

No one served us so we left. Others were doing the same. This experience was in sharp contrast to other restaurants in Florence. There are no other options in this palace so take drink in with you if you want to stop and admire the gardens.
