The furniture and art on display were amazing. Especially the paintings from the 17th , 18th and 19th centuries and also the marble inlaid tables were magnificent. The Boboli Gardens are accessed from the Pitti Palace, but save them and their museums for another day. They too are worth a visit.

Over the top lavish royal rooms, Roman statues and Renaissance paintings, beautiful garden views from Galleria windows . . . and not crowded in afternoon.

Its VAST AND BEAUTIFUL.You can take a buS from Firenze SMN bus station. Its close to the bus stop.Buy tickets for the Gardens too.Gardens are the star attractions, they are very pretty. Its kids friendly.AFTER the museum visit, a visit o the gardens is a must. Its advisable to take the maps to guide you to the gardens and the surrounding area.Take water to drink and some snacks since its a huge place. You can take lovely photos and you get amazing views of the city too. You have a small cafe in one of the gardens.Food there is good if you haven't eaten anything.Overall a place to relax and take lovely photos.

This is time and money well spent. Leave some extra time if you want to enjoy the gardens too. It's a pity there is no photography allowed...there was a lot to take in.

We pre-booked our tickets online but the queue was not very long when we reached at around 2 pm. Inside the galleries, the artworks were left in the same arrangement as they were when the owners occupied the palace. As we had no guides, we found the little information pamphlets in each room very useful as it gave us useful information on the artworks. We spent about 90 mins inside the galleries.
