We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in June 2014;
It was very comfortable;
We booked a triple room and we were surprised that the room was big (4 beds & large bathroom), clean & quiet;
The Staff helped us a lot, they advised us about the main attractions & shopping locations; moreover they gave us many suggestions to do in Florence as we had to change our plans due to the bad weather,
The internet connection was very strong;
The location of this hotel is really perfect as it is located near the train station, and nearby many important locations in Florence.

Ask for the room with a view on the 5th floor---separated from the rest of the hotel. You will be thrilled with the panoramic view of the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio. Even the small balcony is good. The room is "Paradiso"; the beds are "Inferno"! I don't know what the mattress was made of, but it was HARD! We spent three nights and woke up each morning with stiff necks and backs. If they make the budget to include a proper, comfortable mattress, they can easily raise the price for this very special room.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and there are a lot of nice things to say about this hotel. The staff helped us with some suggestions about what to see. The room was clean but not impressive. However, when you are travelling to Florence, why spend much time in the room? The best part is the location -- it is right next to the train station and very close to all the major things to see (about a 5 minute walk to the major attractions). The only disappointment we had was that when we booked the room it said free breakfast was included, but it was not -- you only get a coupon for a discount to a local breakfast place. However, overall we were quite pleased -- the location is great and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights with a group and found it quite good. Rooms were fairly big and quiet with double glaze to keep the noise out. Wifi was ok but the best thing was the washing machine.everybody caught up after 5 days touring. Lift is small but at least there is one and its nice and handy to train station. Probably would stay here again.

In June 2013, I brought a school group to stay at Hotel Ester. I was disappointed at first because I was told that our group was in 2 different buildings. As the teacher, I was very concerned about this arrangement. However, Marco made things ok with only 1 room separated from everyone else. The separated group was in the main hotel while we were put into the auxiliary hotel directly across the street.
All rooms were clean, cold, and well-appointed with free phone calls and satellite tv. The location was perfect for us, as we arrived and departed from the train station. We even had access to a washing machine for free.
All of the sites that we visited were relatively close by, and we didn't mind the walking distance. We purchased breakfast which involved receiving a voucher to take to a nearby bakery -- it was fine.
Our rate was relatively low, and the staff was extremely helpful before and during our stay. We had a positive experience and trust you will, too.

We spent three nights and we all loved this hotel. Very clean and as quality and price was the best hotel of our trip in Italy. We will be back to Florence and will stay agin there.
If you play pingpong and you can beat the owner "Marco" you'll get the room for free :)

Had a wonderful stay in Florence @hotel Ester. Very close to train station, and centre of town. Rooms were clean and newly refurbished with a lift to ease the legs of stairs. I highly recommend this hotel.
