I highly recommend this hotel. The lady / owner greeted us very warming and helpful. She gave us a map of the city and marked where the must see attractions. Our hotel room beautifully spacious, the whole corridor walking to the room smelled fresh with candle scent. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Massive bathroom and modern. What I particularly liked about the room was that it was warm and cosy. Especially the bathroom. Whereas the hotel we stayed in Rome was cold not so comfy.

We enjoyed the breakfast, was all what you need to eat and drink. Very helpful staff. I Asked the cleaner for an iron which she got straight away for me. Really impressed. Hotel is bang in the centre of all the attractions, restaurants etc.... Great location!! Also cute seating area outside the room in the balcony.

This was our first hotel in our multi-city break in Italy. Like a lot of this type of hotel you go through an anonymous door into a shared hallway and then up the stone stairs. The welcome was very friendly, and it was no problem that we arrived early (due to train selection). We were checked-in and advice provided on good places to visit (piazza St.Angelo for the view) and other important info - like booking early for the cupola. This hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the Duoma, so is very well placed as a tourist base. Given the size of Florence, there was no problem walking from the station with our bags.

When we returned from day one we were pleased with the room, which was very large and comfortable, with a small internal balcony overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom was excellent with a good strong shower - bathrooms really make a difference for me. Also good speed for the free Wi-Fi.
Breakfast in a basement, which is 15th century and very quirky. It is quite a tight squeeze, but it is only breakfast and hundreds of years old as well. Really not a problem if you are embracing Italian architecture. If you want more space go to a clone factory modern hotel, rather than somewhere with character.
Overall this was an excellent start to our holiday, setting a high bar ofr the hotels to follow.

We stayed here for a couple nights this month, and it was in walking distance to the Duomo and most of the other must see sights in Florence. The staff was helpful and nice during check-in and during the morning brekfast.

The rooms have high vaulted ceilings and cool paintings on the walls. The room also realitvely big with a small patio you can use to sit outside. The location is quite which makes it very relaxing.

This was our second stay in the wonderfully renovated mansion. Rooms are stylish, quiet, extremely comfortable, breakfast is good. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
And then there is location.....just 5 minutes from the Duomo!!
We will absolutely return.

We spent four nights at Palazzo Galletti at the end of September. This nice B & B is on the second floor of a historic building in the old town. There is an independent spa on the main floor of the building. The staff is very friendly and gave us great restaurant suggestions. (Osteria Natalino our favourite). Everything is within walking distance. Most rooms face a quiet inner courtyard, with a few overlooking the street. We stayed in the Mercurio room and it was perfect; quiet, clean, nicely appointed, with a large bathroom and a balcony overlooking the interior courtyard. WiFi is free. There is a comfortable sitting area outside the room which we could use to read and relax. We had a lovely stay here.

Room tip: The Mercurio room was lovely
