From the road it doesn’t look special, nether the lobby or the reception, but when you put your foot inside their rooms you will be amazed how comfortable and cozy they are. They look like old cottage rooms in the country side. Spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. they have internet too (very fast). The breakfast is never the same every morning and its delicious and fresh. Its expensive but you’re in the heart of Florence and it’s worth it. You must book it in advanced very in advance.

Room Tip: Rooms In the back from the entrance are quieter because of the school right next to it

We stayed at the Antica Dimora Firenze while we visited Florence and the Tuscan region for eight days. Our room was wonderfully relaxing and nicely equipped. It was as nice to come to rest after a tiring day of touring as it was to spend a leisurely morning or afternoon relaxing. We stayed in room with a small balcony (#5), small, but not cramped; it was great to sit and relax to a glass of wine at the end of the day.

Mornings were greeting with nice selections at the open breakfast "buffet" table. The B&B was small and somewhat cozy, but with just enough guests to have an enjoyable visit at the breakfast table.

Our hosts were VERY hospitable and the housekeeping staff was small, very friendly. and very responsive to our needs. Our rooms were whipped back to shape even as soon as we left.

And a wonderful Irish Pub across the street! Who would've thought we would find this in Florence?? The (very handsome) Scottish owner and his assistant were delightfully engaging and interactive with customers, including both tourists and locals.

I traveled with a friend and both of us agree: We highly--HIGHLY--recommend staying there.

Room Tip: Ask for room #5.

Really enjoyed our 3 nights at Antica Dimora. Our room looked out over a quiet inner courtyard and was a reasonable size. The bed was very comfortable and the toilet/shower adequate. The breakfast on all days was good with plenty to choose from. We caught a taxi from the Central railway station when we arrived but the B&B was so conveniently placed that when we left we walked to the station in 15 minutes. It is also an easy walk to most of the sights.
We also thought it was good value for what is an expensive city.

This was the perfect place to start our Italy vacation. The room and adjoining terrace were perfect size space, and decorated like we were visiting someone's home. The location was near enough to walk to everything we wanted, yet a little away from town which made it a quiet place to stay. The breakfast offered was delicious, and we loved the "honor bar" mentality for off hours. We would definitely recommend this, and when we return to Firenze, we will be staying here again!

This was the best place we stayed throughout our two weeks in Italy!

The room was quiet, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The complimentary water in the mini bar, the delicious and plentiful breakfast offerings, and the afternoon tea and sweets were beyond the norm.

The location was close to all of the major sites to see and the people we met who were also staying there were delightful.

All of this made our stay wonderful - and a bargain!

Room Tip: We were in room 6 - twin beds. I peeked in room 5 - it has a small balcony with a table and chairs.
