Beautiful accommodations and a gracious host and hostess make for a wonderful stay at Panella's. As another reviewer said, one could get very used to the nice breakfast served in the room! The room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous with a very comfortable bed. It is also in a very convenient, central spot.

We have just returned from two nights with Grazilla in Florence and had an amazing time. Our plane was diverted from Pisa to Bologna and so we had a spontaneous adventure across Italy checking out places along the way before returning to our flight home in Pisa on the Sunday night. My partner called Grazilla for a last minute booking and everything went to plan - when we showed up we were greeted like long lost family members which really helped welcome us to Florence and made the whole experience something to remember.

Panella's is right in the heart of the action and gives you the ability to explore Florence at your own pace. Was absolutely wonderful to be able to enjoy fantastic food and drink on your doorstep and then simply wander home. Grazilla provided us with wonderful recommendations for both food and drink and we had an absolute ball as a result.

The accommodation itself is worth staying there itself - an old convent, you get to be immersed in what life would have been like in Florence in times gone by (but with all the creature comforts we've got used to like en-suite, TV, mini bar etc) and breakfast in your room each morning is a real treat.

If you're in Florence - stay at Panella's.

What better way to immerse yourself in the cradle of the Renaissance than to stay in a lovely, historic property that's been in the same family's hands for several generations? This is about as different from a standard hotel as you can imagine – but with solid comforts like a good bed, mini-frig, wireless, a small television and in our case, an absolutely decadent bathroom and tub. From the furniture to the furnishings and touches here and there, you are reminded that you are in historic Firenze.

As much as we enjoyed the property, perhaps our favorite part of our two-night stay was meeting the hostess, Graziella. As others note, she is absolutely charming and goes out of her way to be helpful. Upon checking in early afternoon, for example, she quickly made lunch reservations for us before the nearby restaurant closed and worked on getting us tickets to see David. And of course, there’s that great breakfast including Graziella’s freshly baked cakes and Giuseppe’s cappuccinos served with good conversation. Firenze can seem like a big, crowded city after days in the quieter countryside but Panella’s Residence offered a homey retreat right in the heart of the attractions. Thank you, Graziella.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Graziella and Guiseppe for a fabulous stay in Florence. The B&B is such a wonderful and delightful place to stay...my room was HUGE and quite lovely, with antiques furnishings and a little door open to the outside.
But the best part of the stay was getting to know Graziella and Guiseppe....what truly warm and loving people. I was traveling by myself and would start my day with laughter and fabulous food for breakfast....Guiseppe made a mean coffee cake...I still need the recipe. Then come in every evening and they would both be there with smiles on their faces and open arms to welcome me home...that is exactly what Panella's felt like...a home away from home.
It is in a wonderful location but on a side street so it is quiet and safe. Staying here made my stay in Florence....ranking it right up there with Davide.
Thank you again my dear friends and I hope to make it back to Florence in the near future. My scooter ride through Tuscany and Umbria was fabulous for the rest of my trip.

Graziella is a wonderful, warm hostess, who made us feel welcome in this extension of her home. Our room was clean, charming, and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. The inn is a very short walk from all the action - maybe a 5 minute walk from the Duomo, and we felt quite safe walking home at night after a late dinner. I felt like Graziella went above and beyond, calling a restaurant to inquire about reservations on our behalf - like we were old friends, and not just customers. We walked from the train station, and it was a pretty solid 15 minute hike on cobblestone and narrow sidewalks. If you have lots of luggage, you might consider a taxi.

Right in the thick of it in Florence. A great place to stay with very accommodating hosts; Graziella and Giuseppe. And, Graziella makes the best homemade cakes and tarts for breakfast. Our room was VERY large....a suite really with a very deep (2 person) tub and a double sink vanity; unusual for Europe.

This Residence is central for easy walking Florence by day and night. Graziella is charming and ably assisted by her husband. We were treated like family. Breakfast sufficient and Graziella and Giuseppe attentive. Excellent suggestions re eating and directions. Large room. I left key in taxi, but no fuss made and Graziella most gracious and waited till taxi delivered the key !! Last day, Florence went into shut down with bike race, but Graziella managed taxi for airport and got us away before road closure. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.
