Overall our stay at Residenza Giotto was not horrible, but we did feel slightly misled by the pictures to believe that the bed and breakfast was more up to date than it was. We were first scared off by the very "interesting" entrance into the hotel, which is a musty hallway with a tiny and somewhat frightening elevator that stinks of cigarette smoke. Once you get to the 4th floor on which the bed and breakfast is located you enter into a very small recetption area consisting of only a desk. Our biggest complaint is that this is the only time, other than breakfast and on your deprture when you pay, that you will enconter the owners\staff of the b & b. Celia and George are both very nice, but were never there since our stay was over a wkd. We wanted to ask for recommendations for good places to eat and places to visit, but there was never anyone to talk to. The rooms were adequate, and fairly clean, but our bathroom left much to be desired (our shower was non-existent--only a curtain in the corner with a shower hose). The location is perfect however, you are a perfect distance to all of Florence's attractions. Overall, if you aren't expecting much out of your hotel and just want accomodations with a great location this will work perfectly for you!
