Located slightly out of the way although easily within walking distance of central Florence (also public transport nearby). Room was large, breakfast fantastic. I had no toilet in my room but that was a small inconvenience for the great price. Cristina was very helpful, lending me a public transport map and a guide book during my stay. Close to the main station. Recommended.

My husband and I decided to make a spontaneous stop in Florence while on our honeymoon and arrived at the train station with no hotel reservation. We planned to find a place near the Duomo after walking around a bit, but ended up speaking with the owner of Hotel Cristina at the station and after finding out that the price we was right we took him up on his offer of a ride to the hotel and one night's stay including breakfast. I typically avoid the mass of hotel proprietors and tour guides swarming new arrivals to a city, but he was a very nice guy and not pushy at all.

After a nice air conditioned ride to the hotel we checked in and decided to take a shower and nap before venturing out. The bathroom and bed were huge in comparison to those in most European hotels/pensions and my 6'7 husband was thrilled. Everything was clean and it was in a great location for walking to the central sites. The next morning an amazing breakfast was brought to our room which we throroughly enjoyed before checking out midday.

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Florence.

Germano drove us to his B&B from the train station. It was definetly a good value for the amount we spent. Him and his wife, Cristina, were kind and welcoming. The place itself is about a 15 minute walk to the Duomo. The entire place was very clean! Also, breakfast is included and they bring it right into your room!

My wife and I met Germano at the train station and he gave us a ride to the rooms. He and Cristina were very nice and very helpful. She provided us with a map and showed us how to get to all the interesting places.

The room was much bigger than expected and the bathroom was big by U.S. standards. It had a shower, sink, bidet, and toilet with plenty of space to spare. They keep there rooms extremely clean. In the morning, they bring breakfast to your room on a rolling table. YOu are served a pot of coffee and tea with pastries, rolls, chease, and a boiled egg. It was more than we were expecting considering the rate we were paying.

I find the other review (the one bashing Cristina House) very hard to believe. This is very good place run by very nice people.

It is cheap to stay here, and the location is ok, everything you want to see in Florence is walkable. The breakfast is ok. But the decent things end there.
The main problems we had was the grumpy, mean and unfriendly attitude of Germain. He was ok up until we paid for all the nights we stayed. Christina at least tried to be nice. She did book us tickets to the Uffizi and helped us with getting around with a photocopied map of the area.
The shared bathroom is an issue. The noise from Germaine blasting the t.v. disrupted our sleep. He was just being grumpy and mean like we were not welcome there and we were nothing but polite and cordial to him and his wife. We were really respectful of them and their things. So we don't know why he liked to lash out at us, which made our stay terribly uncomfortable.
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED NICELY

So the key thing is that Cristina and her family live at the hotel--the reception is their living room. You pretty much get your room to stay in. The breakfast is early and mediocre (but filling)--if you are like me, you feel a little sad having mediocre food in Italy. But if you just want a clean place to lay your head at night and get up and out early in the morning--no frills, but not dirty--Cristina House is the place is fine. Her guests are not the teeny boppers you find as you go towards the SMN station--but it is definitely not a relax in your room type place. They knock on your door at around 8:30 to deliver the mediocre breakfast, by 9 they want to clean your room...etc.
