“Charming room in great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2013

My husband and I stayed in the Actor suite which was very spacious with charming details like the old marble sink with beautiful tiles. The bathroom was clean and modern with a great completely enclosed shower stall (not the norm in Europe where it's not uncommon to get the whole bathroom wet when taking a shower). Excellent location within an easy walk of anywhere you want to go in Florence, but also on a quiet street. Many choices of restaurants nearby within a couple of blocks. They made an Uffizi reservation for us on very short notice (the day before we arrived). Definitely take advantage of this service and try to do it more in advance (we were too late to get an Accademia reservation and had to get there before it opened and wait in line for over an hour). The internet is a bit slow but does work in the room. There is air conditioning but it could have been a bit stronger. We opted for the no breakfast and no cleaning option (we were only there for 2 nights) - it was nice to have the option to pay less if you don't want those extra services. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Florence - I hope we do!

Located on a quiet side street near the Accademia, this B&B is an ideal place from which to explore Florence. Guiseppe and Cristina made us feel welcome from our first email contact with them. Especially helpful was Guiseppe’s map of his favorite attractions and restaurants – both proved to be right on target for us.

Loved this place! Cristina, Giuseppe and Lorenzo do a wonderful job. The location is ideal too. We would highly recommend and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again next time we are in the magical city of Florence.

This charming B&B is conveniently located on a quiet street not far from the Accademia. We booked two rooms, the Mirrors suite and the Diva suite and both were beautifully arranged with an old world style decor. The hosts, Giuseppe and Cristina, were helpful and friendly and made our entire family feel welcome and at home. The rooms open to a delightful little inner courtyard -- very relaxing and perfect for breakfast. We never had any problems coming and going at all hours, day or night. We would not hesitate staying again -- it is like a home away from home.

this is a lovely quirky B&B is a nice quiet, but very central location of Florence. The owner was very nice and very happy to pass on some useful information and recommendations,

We stayed in the Diva room and it was lovely, very clean and lovely quirky decorations/decor, very olde world Italian feel to it, we loved it.

We stayed for three nights and it was very hot in Florence but we return to our room and instantly relaxed in the cool and quiet environment, we got great nights sleep each night.

The cafe that they use for your breakfast is fab, the lady that was there first thing and last thing at night was lovely, not only did we have breakfast here each morning but we also choose to go for one lunch and one evening there too and it was all great. It is a buffet in the evening but the buffet was lovely too.

When we go back to Florence we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room was called Diva and was lovely and quiet at the end of the corridor

We stayed here for the 2nd time last month...I loved it so much last year I just couldn't not go back. I can't think of Florence without our mirrors suite...its just the sugar & spice that tops of a perfect stay! And once again, I wasn't disappointed! Giuseppe & Cristina are just the most wonderful hosts. Cristina had given me her special rate for coming back. They also had a little welcome back gesture drink & biscuits (so delicious) waiting for us in the room. So sweet of them - what more could I have asked for :))) Guiseppe took the time to give us some updates on whats new since last year. Once again, everything was wonderful! Proximity to everything felt even closer to the center than last year (even though last year we felt pretty close). Cristina arranged a taxi to pick us up in the morning. Everything was just as we had imagined & hoped for! I don't think anyone can be disappointed staying here - its a home away from home!!
Tips: Go to Coquinarius for dinner & drinks, it has a great mood to it & really spectacular food! (Guiseppe recommended this to us)
For breakfast go to caffe il sole just around the corner :)

Room Tip: Mirrors Suite is wonderful! We stayed in it both times!

This bed and breakfast is exceptional due to the owners' hospitality, comfort of the room (we had the Mirrors' suite), and proximity to sites. Christina and Giuseppe are the perfect hosts. Last year, Christina helped with Uffizi reservations. Both times, they arranged for taxis to the airport. Breakfast at a nearby cafe was nice (continental plus tasty sandwich that we often had later for lunch). The room was nicely air-conditioned and the mini-fridge was a plus. We hope to return next year!
