What I liked was that it was close to all the major attractions, and can be reached on foot. It was an average accommodation, guess not that pricey for florence. Also a little kitchenette which was very welcoming. However a few things to note, the drying machine was out of order and we were not informed. Quite annoying to have washed all our clothes and then have to hang them in the room to dry out. That was stupid. Also there is no lift, if you have large suitcases, you're in trouble here unless you are quite fit. Again being asked for money on arrival and then they disappeared, hardly anyone on sight, except you called. Overall, I guess it was not that bad. Building very ancient italian style but rooms not that great. (Nothing exceptional)

Room Tip: Rooms with attic are low, not good for a tall person. Suitable for smaller children

What a perfect location! The parking garage is directly across the street and the Accademia is a block away. The street access was safe and the unit was clean and comfortable. WiFi was always working and the kitchen was adequate.

I have stayed at this location twice in different apartments and both experiences have been outstanding. This is a perfect location particularly at night when all the other tourists leave!! The accommodation is clean, good room configurations for families and small kitchenettes if you want to eat in. The service is excellent and the hosts are very helpful and friendly.

We stayed at Piccolo Residence Apart-Hotel for six nights in March of 2014 after a week in Rome. It is located on Via Ricasoli midway between the Duomo (church) and The Academia (gallery). They are about three long city blocks apart and probably the two most important sites in Florence.

The studio apartment was fresh, beautiful, and spotlessly clean. The design was modern, but not severe. Cleaning and fresh towels were provided on alternate days – which is more than we really needed. The large window to the interior courtyard let in plenty of natural light and air. The furniture, a comfortable couch, an easy chair, a dining table with padded chairs and large bed all seemed new and were comfortable. In contrast to the apartment we stayed at in Rome, there was plenty storage space for clothing and table/storage space for miscellaneous items such as battery chargers, electrical adapters, cameras, etc. The wifi was excellent. The room has a safe, which is important to us. The kitchenette was beautiful and functional, if modest in size. There were an adequate number of electrical outlets. Lighting was adequate and the heating/cooling system was not necessary because of the ideal weather conditions we experienced that week. We did not watch the TV. Security was excellent with three locked doors between us and the street (which is very safe anyway). The apartment was very quiet and must be very well insulated from the neighboring units. The owner, Sakiko, was very very nice to us and attentive to our needs. We loved Florence in general and the Piccolo Residence Apart Hotel in particular. When we are in Florence again, we will stay at Piccolo.

The most fun we had in Florence was being there and walking around for miles each day. It is one of, if not the, most beautiful cities we have been to.

Room Tip: Our room, 25, was on the second floor (first floor in Europe) at the top of the stairs to the left...

-firstly the location, right in the center near the Duomo--very, very important, and staff - a Japanese family very fair and helpful ... big room, clean ....
-at what rates practiced in Florence is an ideal which I recommend honest ...
-kitchenette with everything you need

--in our room did not quite open the window and I just had Wi-Fi on the ground floor, upstairs was a problem with signal
-pay parking but that I knew from the start, a parking lot right across the street from the hotel and hotel guests have a discount

Great location as well as quiet but the most uncomfortable beds we have ever had in all our travels. We wanted an apartment so as to be able to eat in however there was no place to put the kettle or prepare anything. The kitchen area consisted of a sink with two plate ceramic stove top inches away in a small cupboard space.

Our room was fairly cramped and there was no elevator but that can be expected from a building so old. The corridors smelt a bit musty but the rooms were lovely and ours had a view onto the courtyard. The staff were very helpful and efficient but we had to go up and down the stairs whenever we needed them because the phone in our room did not work at all. Even though it was a self contained room we had to ask for a toaster and when it was brought up we could not use it because an adaptor was required. But we eventually got it sorted. There was room service which we were pleasantly surprised by. Lots of little cages and restaurants close by that were very reasonably priced.
